The sun is shining and you would like to take advantage... why not go for a unique experience : a hot air balloon flight. Choose one of our take off sites : - Chenonceaux in the Loire Valley - Fontainebleau in Ile de France - Vézelay or Beaune in Burgundy - Forcalquier in Provence - Bourg Madame in the Pyrénées Once your flight is booked, join us at the meeting point. You will have the opportunity to help inflating the balloon, and once in the basket just relax and enjoy the view. After landing you will get to share your impressions with the team during the traditional aeronaut's toast. You will need to plan about three hours for the hole activity including an hour for the flight.

Great experience
It was a wonderful experience to go high in the sky with the hot air balloon. The people are very warm and welcoming. Definitely recommended!

The HIGHLIGHT of my time in the Loire Valley

Did you know? Hot air ballooning was invented in France! Therefore, go hot air ballooning in France! And go with these guys. Painless excursion, breathtaking views of the valley and Chateau Chenonceau, great staff, complete with a madeline and champagne toast once you land. My taxi driver was not a nice guy, so the staff DROPPED ME BACK OFF at my hotel after the flight - for free. They are truly great montgolfieres and great people.

Oh what a night!
As a graduation gift, I hosted this family to Fountaine Blue for a hot air balloon excursion. Our pilot Adrian and his wonderful ground crew made the experience pleasurable, put even the nervous at ease and comforting. It was a grand conclusion to a wonderful family vacation in Paris

We travelled to Fontainbleau especially to enjoy a Hot Air Balloon ride to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary on September 10th last. We were at our pickup point at 6.45am on Monday, 10th and when no one arrived, our driver from the hotel phoned Montgolfieres to be told that the flight had been cancelled. The weather was beautiful on Sunday and Monday. We returned home to Ireland on Tuesday very disapponted and upset. We discovered later when we arrived home a message on our home phone despite giving them my mobile phone number!! This company refuse to give us a refund even though we live in Ireland and will not be returning to France. We do not have €330 to spare as we are OAP's. Dreadful underhand treatment from this company. BE WARNED! Use another company with more ethical guidelines.

Lack of COVID19 measures in Montgolfière CHENONCEAU

We booked a trip for a Montgolfière trip over Chenonceau and the Cher. GETYOURGIDE mentions that the maximum of participants is 10 persons for each ride. Upon arrival to our surprise we were 14... our surprise grew when hearing that we had to embark in two Jeeps to go to the departure ( 7+the driver per car ! = packed one against another ) When mentioning that this didn’t respect current measures for Covid, we got the answer that also in the gondola we would be stuffed one against another as well. And that therefor we had to wear a mask as desinfect our hands. Unsure if the montgolfière had been desinfected ( we could’nt see anyone doing this, the cars weren’t in any case . When telling that GETYOURGUIDE mentioned that the trips were limited to 10 participants, Mister France Montgolfière told us not without arrogance that the could write what they wanted but that it was not the problem of France Montgolfière ...When asking if we could take our own car for transfert ; that was impossible. Common sense would limit the number to 8 participants and foresee a transfer in mini-bus. We have been following strict hygienic rules by keeping distance at all times : the lack from the side of France Montgolfières is unacceptable and we didn’t want to participate under these circumstances. We asked full refund from Getyourguide... and we are fully entitled to get one.

Up, Up and Away!

What a thrill floating over the Loire region on our first balloon flight! It was a beautiful fall evening and the last balloon ride of the season. Thierry, the Pilot, and his team were on time at the meeting point and professional in the set up of the balloon. It was very helpful that the Pilot knew English. The large basket on this flight held 16 including the Pilot. The highlight was floating over the Chateau Chenonceau; it was interesting looking down on it from high above. Our flight lasted approximately and hour and fifteen minutes. We set down very gently (the basket stayed in an upright position) in a harvested sorghum field. Then everyone was asked to pitch in to help the crew gather, tie the balloon and load it into the trailer. This was a total surprise to my daughter and I; however, it may have been explained in French on their website. The balloon was heavy and we didn't wear the correct shoes for this task and my age prevented me from being much help. We ended the evening with a champagne toast (orange juice for the thee children) and received a Certificate of Assention.

Best Day Ever.....

We booked a balloon ride through France Montfolgiere to fly above les Pyrenées-Orientales last week. Although our flight was cancelled due to windy conditions on the Wednesday, they were really kind to welcome us on the Thursday morning flight instead.
After a 2 hour drive early morning from Perpignan in the mountains.... we finally arrived at the site.
It was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.....
Little did I know that my boyfriend had arranged a fabulous proposal with the Pilot and we came back down to earth engaged :)
It was the most amazing day of my life (so far :) )
I would like to thank the whole team for making it happen..... It was wonderful.... and everyone was so kind and happy for us.
The views up there were magical and the whole flight was so smooth and enjoyable.
This experience will definitely remain in our hearts forever....

This was amazing. Excellent service, it was going to rain on the day we had booked and they were great about changing our reservations at the last minute. Had great views of Chateau Chenanceau and vineyards everywhere.

We booked a balloon ride with France Montgolfieres for the Loire Valley in September 2015, but unfortunately the weather was too windy and even though we rescheduled for the following day, the wind was still too strong and we had to cancel our flight. The tickets included a 15 euro pp insurance component and we were refunded the full ticket price less 30 EU for the insurance within 2 days, so even though we were disappointed on missing the flight, we were very satisfied with the refund policy and prompt refund.
A special thanks to Magali, who helped us a lot over the phone.

Really unique and fantastic experience, so glad I decided to go hot air ballooning with France Montgolfieres. We had to wait a few days for the right weather system to come in. Eventually we got the call and it was on! We woke up early to take a morning flight and it was well worth it. Our pilot and all the chaps who helped out were really cordial and great. Turns out that flying a balloon is much more of a skill than you might think, and our trip was very exciting although we felt safe from the moment we took off until touchdown. I was quite nervous at first but thoroughly enjoyed. Got some great snaps. Also loved the champagne breakfast, cant wait to do this again!
