Interesting!

Very interesting to view these megaliths close up! There were many walkers out and about but we cycled along the tracks in the woods and the directions were well sign-posted, but a map was useful for orientation. We weren't totally sure of where we were going but the megaliths were easy to come across.

Pleasant to stroll around

Nice and relaxed here. You can wander round at your leisure. There is free parking. It does say don't leave valuables in your car but I feel that is sensible advice anywhere

Still wondering!

Been to quite a few alignments in Carnac and the surrounding areas, the ones here are just as interesting if you like that stuff! I do and am always left wondering what and why!?
Standing next to some of the largest you have to admire the ingenuity of early man...well worth following the trail around the fields next to the site... even bigger ones down the lane to the left of the carpark

Big stones

Some big stones. A little walk. Very little signage, but nice enough to wander through the stones and wonder how they got there and what they are for. Some truly magnificent stones amongst the trees (and we picked sloes for sloe gin!)

Lost in translation!
Aug 2017 • Family
Visited with my husband and two young children 1yr and 5yrs old.

Upon arrival in my best (to me) French I asked for two tickets. I was told no ticket required and tours were available but in French.
Okay I thought "That was it!"

The information in English is basic on a free leaflet.

I brought a booklet which was 6€ (if memory serves me right) this was unfortunately equally as basic as the leaflet.

That is great the tours are available... if you are local, fluent or have a really good grasp of the language.

We felt lost in translation. All signs in French....again great if local, fluent and have very good grasp of language.

The site is lovely. Wish I knew more about the site itself.

Recommend: some audio tours, baby changing facilities in the toilets and sort the parking out (mark up some spaces!)
Parking was where ever you could fit your car: on a kerb, inbetween trees, double parking!
