Excellent company - used them in 2004 and in 2013 - no complaints. If you go to the Dordogne you really must canoe down the river as you get a totally different perspective. We did the 28km trip with 3 teenage girls - we had a 3 man canoe and a 2 man kayak and swapped around a bit. It... More

You can definitely go wrong choosing a canoe outfit for paddling the Dordogne River -- buses that don't show up at trip's end and so on. Canoe Roquegeoffre is a very well-run outfit. You park at the base camp and take a bus upstream, so at the end of the day you end up where your car is. The staff... More

Fine canoe service. Well run. They shuttle you up river to the canoes and then you flat back to your car. There are short, medium and long floats. We picked the medium, which took about three hours with a couple of stops. Rowing was a fair amount of work and it felt about 1/2 hour too long for us. By... More

We did the 14km canoe down the Dordogne with our two young children. The company drives you up the river and you then canoe back to where the bus picks you up. The cost was 36 euros for the 4 of us. It was beautiful to see all the chateaus from the river and well worth the journey. The company... More

We paddled the Dordogne a few years ago, and having enjoyed it (with a Beynac-based operator) felt that we wanted to repeat the experience. We were attracted to this particular company this year initially because they are cheap ! Their eqipment is not the newest or smartest, but is perfectly adequate, and the reception was cheerful and helpful. We thought... More

The Dordogne is a treat to canoe in this area. The current does all the work and the views are amazing. We went from just above La Roque-Gageac to Les Millandes which was the perfect length for our 9 and 12 year olds. I would pick a company where you leave your car at the end of the trip. That... We used canoe roquegeoffre to do the 28km day trip. They were very friendly and helpful. You turn up around 9.30am and then get run up to your start point. Much better to do it this way round so you are not waiting ages for a pick up at the end of your trip. Got to be one of the... More

We hired canoes around 3pm after a busy day at Rocamadour. We chose to canoe 7km seeing it was quite late in the afternoon. We loaded up in the minibus and set off parking about 2km past Chateau Castelnaud which was stunning to canoe past. The river was lovely and easy to canoe along, the weather was excellent, and all... All the booking was done by email as I needed to book for 20, so figured just turning up wasn't an option. All went smoothly. I've used a few companies over the years but Canoe Roquegeoffre was as good as any, if not better. You get taken upstream in a bus and the canoes are wating for you and it's... More
