We had a fantastic tour of the 2004 lava tunnel with Mathéo. A lava tunnel tour is something that every visitor to the island has to do as you learn so much about how the island came to be, its history, its ecosystem and of course the volcano. Well worth it and a lot of fun!

Amazing experience outside official paths on the Piton de la Fournaise. Benoit was our guide, he was really interesting and passionate about the volcano, he could explain everything which was at sight into details and anecdotes. He would always care about the team and took amazing pictures of our volcano trip. Great experience!

I was looking for an "active" holiday in La Reunion, combining trekking in the Cirques and to the Volcano with some days on the beaches. And I wanted a mountain leader speaking Italian for the trekking! And I wanted to try some of the exciting activities for which the Island is well known for... And seeing whales... And visiting gardens. Too much? No travel Agency in Italy is offering all of that. I contacted Kokapat Randò, surfing on the web, attracted by the many positive comments from travellers. In a few days, they tailored a program for me and my young boys. 2 fabulous weeks with all I wanted and even more!! We had the trekking, lead by Fred Fontane (speaking a superb Italian and very knowledgeable and passionate about his Island - a discovery every day) with hikes perfectly tuned for the age and skills of my boys. We had canyoning in Langevin. We had lava tubes experience (amazing and unexpected). We had paragliding (wow) above Saint Leu. We had a car to drive along the coast and stop in amazing places and beaches. We had some nights in gites, to get the real flavours of the Island, and other nights in veeeery nice and comfortable hotels, spoiled by the many services offered. We had a boat trip to see dolphins (but no whales… atch…). But more than ever, I really appreciated being supported and sided for any need by Eve & Rudy from Kokapat. Very attentive to any detail; providing clear list of what we had to put in our luggages and backpacks; helping with the tranfers and the logistic of the trip; ready to make last minute adjustment and dispensing advices for what to do and see! I’ve seen not only their professionalism, but also the big passion they put in their job!! I’d recommend Kokapat Randò to anyone willing to visit La Reunion, from the setting of a full trip (as I did) to the single-day/multi-day trekkings or activities. I think they can give a shape to many more dreams!!!!

We had a wonderful and very instructive guided tour through the blue lava tunnel with Rudy. He took a lot of time for explanations, although he had to change French and English. With great enthusiasm he told of the construction of the tunnels. There was also a coffee/tea in complete darkness in the tunnel. Magnificent! The cool cold drink at the end of the tour rounded this day off very nicely.
