It looks amazing from the outside and from the inside also. It is one of my favorite castles in Romania because how it looks from the outside, it is a castle that you see in the old Disney movies. If you are in Hunedoara or are passing by, you should visit the castle! *My wife and I visited the castle... More

This old castle is the best preserved in all the country. Built during the middle ages, it preserves something of the old atmosphere during those times. It is worth seeing!

Right before the entrance in the courtyard you must pass by awful looking factory buildings and there is no civilized parking lot. The entrance fee is 30 RON (7 EUR give or take) which is an exageration for what is offered. From the outside the castle looks good but once we passed the gates and started entering each room we... Visited 2 hours...was ok,a lot to visit. They have a parking near where for 7.5 lei(1.7 Eu) you can leave the car. The castle is nice,a lot to see. It's a must to go to the top of the castle from where there is a nice landscape.

I was really looking forward to visiting this castle. I made the long journey from Reghin via Sibiu to see this attraction, but I have to say that it was very disappointing. The castle building is beautiful. Amazing in design and looks. Sadly the curators need to do much more to make the attraction. Once inside there are sporadic exhibits... More

The castle looks good! Try to visit the place during the week; weekend s are crowded and the acces is not the best...to many cars and only few parking places arround. Inside is not full of surprises but overall if you like history and you have time to visit a nice castle don't miss the place.

It is a great attraction, a great castel, a piece of history. The castel is great, it is prety well restaurated, but it colud be placed larger info stands about the castel, the castels history, and it colud be used other languages than romanian and english and a very few hungarian description. As a big negative thing about this attraction... More

Looks really exciting from the outside, pretty empty inside. (Like most people:)) however, it's a great place to visit and you don't want to miss it while visiting Romania. Still, there is place for improvements. 4/5

The tourist attraction in Hunedoara, nice large castle more to see than for instance Bran castle. Good views over the town.

This castle is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. There is an audio guide that can be downloaded onto your phone, but we just read the cards in each room. Apparently you get a bit more out of the audio guide. There are many rooms to go into and the views from the castle are nice.
