The castle itself is a great landmark. It looks fantastic from all angles, but misses investments in conservation. The history of the castle is really interesting, but you need tk use google for that, because the information at site, is quite poor. It would be nice to have more things to see inside of the castle rooms. There is an ongoing maintenance now at the castle.

I have seen some castles by now in Romania. This one was for sure one of better looking ones from outside. Indoors they had some renovation works but we still spent two hours for whole tour. I was a bit disappointed by fhe size of it as from pictures it looks huge. However its rather mid sized castle. Also the medieval inventory was quite modestly displayed. Not so many remnants and artwork from history. Dungen expo is outside and 10 lei extra. The thing that really bothered me was signs to wear mask at all times were everywhere.

Wonderful castle that was kept in its original state as much as possible. Musicians made the atmosphere feel more medieval. The view was quite amazing. 1h30 was enough to visit it all. It is a shame so many parts were closed to the public due to restauration works. Also, the staff should have more change, as the public can't always come with the exact sum. We recommend!

Is a must! Not becouse i love history and stories , but becouse is a gorgeus place! A big minus to the local administration, you get a very big tax fee entrance but no guide in the main days of visiting saturday and sunday!! Not good!! Shame to the local administration for such a big entrance fee and nothing written inside like a good guide! There is something written but is a bad joke about how important is this castle for your city and your bad behaviour for tourists!! Nice place, but poor arranging beside the castle , you can do more to make your visitors spend more money in hunedoara!! Shame to the castle administrator!
