顕微鏡がズラリ！

岩国市由宇町の海辺にある「潮風公園みなとオアシスゆう」にある施設。施設といっても、食堂とか土産物売場がある建屋の一画を利用して、いろんなミクロ生物を展示、観察させてくれるスペースです。
その観察方法が実にユニーク。全て顕微鏡を覗いて見るようになっています。その顕微鏡台数がハンパない。ざっと30台くらいはあったでしょうか。
ワクワクしながら覗けば、様々なミクロ生物にお目にかかれます。ミジンコやゾウリムシなどは言うに及ばず、アメーバ、ミドリムシなどが活発に動いている様も一目瞭然、小中学生の頃に見たかったけど見られなかったやつに会えた嬉しさと言ったらありません。

顕微鏡を覗くときの高揚感、期待感、そして興奮を一度でも体験したかたなら絶対にわかります。理系も文系も、大人も子供も、我を忘れて観察に没頭できること請け合いです。
岩国市立の施設で入場無料なのもいいですね。ここを企画した岩国市の職員さんに拍手喝采を送ります。ありがとう！

無料の展示ですが、ずらりと並んだ顕微鏡を実際に覗いて実物を観察出来ます。解説や見易い映像も充実しており、小さなお子様には是非おすすめです。

駐車場に隣接する食事、土産屋の一角に顕微鏡が並ぶ。無料で見られる顕微鏡にプランクトンがセットされ、のぞけば、目の前のビーチから取れた微生物が美しい。

由宇のビーチに遊びに行ったときに近くにあったのので立ち寄ってみました。ビーチ時代は人が多く、賑わっていたのですが、この生物館は誰もいなくて、少しさみしげでした。
