郷土出身の砲術家

ロープウェイ山麓駅の近くに建立された石碑です。有坂家は代々砲術家の家系で、致遠は七代目。長崎で西洋の砲術を学び、中四国随一の砲術指導者となりました。

砲術家・有坂到遠を顕彰する碑

岩国ロープウェイ山麓駅傍に立つ顕彰碑です。遠くからでも目に入る銅像では無く、細かい文字だけの顕彰碑で漢文の為刻まれたその文字も読み辛くなっていました。砲術家である有坂到遠を顕彰する碑との事でした。猶、傍には岩国藩鉄砲隊保存会による説明板が立ち詳細が記されていました。

ロープウェイ駅の裏にひっそりと有ります。岩国市民も殆ど知らないのでは？と思われるような解りにくい場所です。

ロープウェイ乗り場の近くの石碑です。

ロープウェイ乗り場の近くの石碑で、岩国の砲術家の有坂　長為の石碑です。
観光のパンフレットには乗っていなかったので、見過ごすところでした。
石碑の横には、解説版があり、有坂　長為さんの砲術家として歴史を勉強できます。
