A quaint souvenir shop next to the Kintai Bridge entrance.
Mar 2016 • Family
This quaint, family owned souvenir shop is located next to the famous Kintai Bridge. It is conveniently located across the street from the entrance to cross the Kintai Bridge and perfect for picking up your mementos before hopping on the bus or going back to your car. Iwakuni is known for several things including the Kintai Bridge, nine-holed lotus and sake! Also, they take all major credit cards which is kind of rare in Japan!

Some of the coolest stuff I found here:

* Take-out Iwakuni sushi and Yamaguchi craft beer (Recommend buying these and then eating on a bench overlooking the river!)
* Locally produced Iwakuni sake
* Yamaguchi Kit Kats made with citrus fruits that this prefecture is known for
* Iwakuni lotus vinegar (great gift and health benefits too!)
* Bridge Cookies that taste like fortune cookies, are decorated with the bridge, and come in a bridge shaped-box.
* Lotus pasta--healthy and makes for a fun gift for your friends back home.

They have all the typical Japanese souvenirs, "omiyage," such as boxed cookies and local specialties. They also have local crafts, Hello Kitty collectibles and all sorts of lotus consumables.

The owners of the shop are super friendly which is a bonus!
