This is an experience not to be missed. There is a shuttle boat from the harbour to the castle, adding to the experience.

This is a very short boat trip (2 minutes or so) to the castle, and inside is an amazing group of beautiful buildings around a courtyard and gives a real "step-back-in-time" experience.

If your in Barra you must visit - the main thing to see in Castlebay. Costs £5.50 per person which includes the boat across - an interesting way to get to an attraction. Note the boat doesn't operate between 12.30 - 13.30 but otherwise it's...More

Kisimul Castle is very interesting. 2 men bring you in a small boat to the Castle and after a visit they bring you back. Nice shop. Small admission.

Take a short boat journey over from Castlebay harbour. Interesting facts available about the castle. Boat goes every half hour. Very friendly crew.

Sorry for delay, is it Kisimul Castle on Barra you are enquiring about?, if so, yes there is a small charge, I think about £4 per adult, it is very small but steeped in history and well worth a visit x
