What a lovely little castle. Short boat trip and walk up the walkway. That’s when you get the first surprise.... no further comments on this. Worth a trip but it doesn’t take very long to get round.

Worth the little boat trip over to see the Castle in the Bay but it's definitely not for those with mobility issues, there are a lot of twisting and steep stairs to get around to see the best bits. Although the Great Hall remains closed,...More

We took the short boat ride over to Kisimul Castle and enjoyed looking round it. There is a small shop which sells delicious tablet! Definitely worth a visit!

Had a solo boat trip over to the castle which is quite small and at the time parts were closed due to restoration by Scottish Heritage. That said its definitely worth a visit.

Nice little boat trip in a beautiful setting though not a lot to physically see in the castle. Good value for £4

Enjoyed our afternoon out. Arrived at Kisimul Castle by 2 minute boat trip (included in cost). Guys on boat have good banter. A small castle which takes about an hour(max) to explore. It gives a real feel for what it might have been like to...More

Kisimul Castle should not be missed. It is just a short boat ride over to it (included in the admission fee), and is fascinating to explore. Well worth the money to visit, whether your last name is MacNeil or not.

Been in Barra a few times and had never visited the castle. Paid the few quid £ for the entry and short boat journey to see it. When I walked in I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Totally unexpected. I won’t spoil things but...More
