Great location and very good service to go up for hiking or walking the mountains. You can select plenty of routes for hiking...

We had lunch here with the children. Great roof terrace for a panoramic views of the mountains. The surprise was how nice the food was. The local green gnocchi dumplings were fantastic. The service was great and without going into detail the waitress went above and beyond in helping my wife and I with a tricky situation. Thank you so much.
Definitely great for a lunch stop and with views to end all views.

Short slopes, huge crowds, loads of queuing, do slope to the valley so you're forced to use the gondola

Opens a little before 0830 am, but be there a few minutes before if you want to be early, because 0840 will quadruple the amount of people there.

The Col Rodella area stands out for amazing ski experience with wide pistes and abundance of sun throughout sunnydays. At the lovely rifugio Friedrich August you also get a splendid view on the Val di Fassa.

The 125 passenger cable car is efficient and gets, you to the top quickly. We had a warm, sunny, calm day. Great views are all around and from the top there are many trails in every direction, most downhill back to a village where you can bus back to Campitello. Unfortunately there are not close connections to other lifts, particularly to Val Gardena.

This lift had the longest line we have ever experienced at almost any time that we tried to go up the mountain. One morning the line was more than 1.5 hours!! Adding two more cars or another lift next to this would be extremely helpful to cut down the line - not that any person managed to actually queue up! Also, the lift was closed half of the time due to winds, necessitating all skiers from Campitello to go to the next town over and take the ski bus back to their cars at Campitello.

Hi there, I am thinking of staying in Campitello and wondering if you can ski back down to the village? or do you need to get the cablecar back down?

Sorry we were there in the summer. There were however places for skis and skiing equipment at many of the rufigios. Some are open year round and at least one was set up more for skiing than hiking.
