Amazing scenic view of the cities in the valleybelow. The Park also has a cafeteria, free wi-fi and clean restrooms.
The park service personel is fantastic, providing information and serving with a smile.
Definitely a must go for the people who loves sightseeing.

The view is fantastic but it is only it. The organization is poor, and for what it serves ( only the view and the beginning of a lavender garden), the fees are high ... Not to mention that it is not open for the sun setting 🤦🏻‍♀️ what a shame...

You can reach it by Campos do Jordão.
There are some local vendors during day time.
There are some trekking options around but there are no signs so you have to search for it on the internet.

Can pull off the side of the road to see stunning views (if minimal cloud cover) across 180 degrees. A private park is now just across the lake (20 BRL for the vehicle and 10 BRL for each person) which has 270 degrees and a garden of lavender plants, small snack shop, and restrooms. Slightly pricey, but worth the views on a clear day of in the area - very peaceful and beautiful.

Worth a visit, for sure. Amazing views from up there, with the beautiful valley nearby and other mountains in the horizon. A perfect spot for scenery pictures, recommended!

It is very easy to reach the peak of Itapeva, all the way is done by car and the road is excellent. There are other good things there like sweets, chocolates and liqueurs. There are also several craft shops. Before the peak also has a lake (I do not remember the name) that is also very beautiful, and as it is in the way, worth the stop.

A place easy to reach. There is a good road, with good traffic signs. Upthere is a little bit difficult to park, because it is a small place, and there are too many tourists there. The car traffic is blocked before reach the top itself, so, it is better to park as soon as you find a empty space on the road side. Avoid going in the weekends when it is crowded. In the morning, the view with the fog is amazing. When the sun is shinning in a blue sky it is clear to see around 15 cities in the valley below. There are kiosks selling clothes, snacks and drinks.
Before reach the peak, you will see, in the left side of the road, a lagoon. It is strange to see this amount of water in that high altitude. There is a tyrolean airway where you can feel some adrenaline. It was closed when i went there.

According to local information obtained in the city of Campos de Jordão before we visited the “Pico de Itapeva”, there was a dispute between the municipalities of “Campos de Jordão and Pindamonhangaba” that caused in the abandonment of local tourism in that location, but we decided to go visit the Pico Of Itapeva anyway to see the beautiful view obtained from the “Serra da Mantiqueira” and take some photos. Actually the place seems abandoned and there are no longer the little kiosks selling wool clothes, sweets and handicrafts of the region that were there before, which is sad for those who had that place as a way to get their money, but the place continuous beautiful with a astonish view and you can spend hours looking at that spectacle of nature, just sitting and watching the peace that the mountains, trees, flowers of the region brings with the clouds almost touching their peaks.
Eli = 4, Serge = 4

Recommend: Yes, totally. It’s worth to drive there just to see the astonish view in a sunny day.

Tips: As mentioned in our posting, the place now its all about nature & view. There is not touristic facilities as WC, coffee shop, etc ... so if you need, do those things before you leave to the little trip up to the peak. If you want drive there in a cold day, take a blouse, can be really windy and cool up there.

This an amazing view of Paraiba valley. You can see several cities including Aparecida, Pindamonhagaba and others. Sometime you are over the clouds and you could their formation in the mountains. There is no infrastructure there, but some people sells water, chips, honey...
