We did this walk recently with a 4 year old and a 7 year old and they loved it. There is lots for them to see and it’s a flat, circular, easy to follow walk.

Interesting walks around the area, mainly to the locally run and maintained hydrogenation station and alongside it's water supply channel (very narrow walkway). Some great views.

A really pleasant place with water springs and waving sand, you have to see it to understand, and water flowing from the rocks. It a sacred place to the Maori so please respect the area.

The springs are adjacent to a easy walk loop track which takes about 20mins to walk. Springs are beautiful to have seen

We stumbled on this little gem after wasting time at the dilapidated Anatoki Salmon place. Friendly folk let us look over the generators etc. Unfortunately we didn't have time for the walk but would recommend a visit to anyone interested.

I was a little apprehensive about doing this walk solo but after ensuring someone knew where I was took off on it. It was a brilliant walk over different types of terrain. I particularly luved the zig-zag trail. The narrow water run was lovely too....More

Our family loves bush walks and I'm an engineering geek, so this ticked all boxes. So interesting to see how they built this hydro electric station back in the early 1900's, corralling the creek to a weir, then channeling the water down an impressive slope...More
