We found this gem in a travel guide.
We booked one of the apartments, the evening dinner and the breakfast.
The apartment was lovely in each detail, the dinner and the breakfast.
Only the meat in the dinner was a little bit dry but it did not decrease the romantic experience.
We also recommend the private tour. We did it the morning after and the guide was fantastic explaining each detail and answering all our questions.
Definitively a ❤️ 10!.

I had no expectations of this place. It was part of our tour and I didn't care if I went or not, Just another castle but NO, it was wonderful. We were greeted by the manager and the son of the owner who gave a little welcome speech and was so charming and friendly. We did not feel like tourists at all. The gardens are beautiful, the building is like a postcard. We wandered about quite freely before taking a tour of the castle itself and it was so informative and interesting. everything is quite lovely and overwhelming. And the final room is great entertainment...it's original and in great condition but the decoration is unbelievable. It was the fashion of the times and was so interesting to see a room that is not all guilt and marble. Sort of like a visit to South America and a wildlife park combined. Quite funny. We all had a great laugh. Then we went back outside and took our seats for the Birds of Prey show which had been arranged for us and what a show it was. I loved it. Never wanted it to end. We were given all sorts of information and allowed to be close to the various birds, the handlers and falconer is superb, but the star of the show was the horse which just wanted to be in the limelight and be patted and cuddled. After the hustle and bustle of Prague, the crowds and the city it was just a delightful day in the country in a beautiful location with a great meal to follow in the fabulously decorated dining room. Loved it!

During the weekend on our way back to Prague we stopped for a quick sweet break at the restaurant located at the entry of the chateau.
The place looks really beautiful, well preserved, the gardens well-kept, there are tours of the castle (we did that last year) and a charming restaurant.
There is a full daily menu with dishes such as boar, deer, etc, revisited in a fancier way that you can find a simple restaurant.
We chose some of the desserts on display ( fruit pavlova and a fruit mousse) and had a coffee from Segafredo.
Overall a nice experience if you happen to be nearby given the lack of quality restaurants in the neighborhood, with quality products and attentive waiting staff.
Overall I totally recommend

Hezky zámek, velký park, ale tím konči klady. Neuvěřitelné vysoké vstupné, do neudržovaného parku take.
Nice castle, big park, but it ends with pros. Unbelievable high admissions, into unspoiled park also. Nothing to see. You will get a bored and unprofessional behavior of a vendor at a pouch, type Eastern Europe, without any signs of kindness or service. The crown put annoying waitresses in the candy buffet. Visiting the castle and the park I can not recommend, I personally will not come back here, are better places.

This Chateau is very easy to find with safe and free parking right outside. The staff are so friendly and speak great English. To view the house is by tour only - they are in Czech, but a wonderfully bound booklet in English was given. The Chateau isn't luxuriously decorated, instead it is full with warm family furniture and reflects a wonderful private home.
The gardens are simply beautiful - so much effort and care has been paid by the owners who have completely restored them to their former glory.
The onsite restaurant was closed, so we had some delicious cheesecake at the cafe before leaving. The owners have added personal details for guests like additional blankets for when it's cold and spare umbrellas if it rains.
This is well worth the drive to spend an afternoon in beautiful surroundings and attentive staff.

Good for photography.
Free front entrance with beautiful garden. Nice place to sit or read.
Paid entrance to the back gardens with amazing rose garden, trails, and animals like Kangaroos.
Nice cafe in the side building.
I did not go inside the chateau.

We visited on a fairly cold day and the château, not being heated, wasn't all that inviting, although the history of the place is interesting. The chapel is lovely, as are the grounds and gardens. We lunched in the very fine restaurant.
All in all, the château probably scores a 2.5 out of 5.
But all pales into insignificance when you compare the château with the falconry display. We couldn't have cared less about the weather; the display was magnificent and these fantastic birds put on a brilliant show. We'd still be there if there were more birds to see. In addition to the falcons, there were hawks, a golden eagle and an owl. You can get right up close for photos, pat them and feed them.
This falconry display makes this attraction not to be missed.
Oh yes, there's a pretty famous movie star horse there as well. He's trained as brilliantly as the birds are!

During the weekend we were on our way to a cottage close by so we decided to stop at Jemniste for a guided tour of the structure. Since i was the only one who could not speak Čestina i was given a booklet in english with descriptions for every room we went to (very complete and accurate). The castle is beautiful and well preserved, and it was interesting to learn about the families who lived there in the past; the tour was quite long and definitely worth the ticket. We then decided to have a coffee and a dessert at the cafe situated just on a side of the castle, and we had a very pleasant time sipping a great coffee and satisfying our sweet teeth. To digest we then visited the garden in which there are several animals and a roseto. If you happen to be around (40 mins from Praha) head there, it will be worth it.

In 2013 we have stayed one night in the hotel at Zamek Jemniste. Personal and rooms were great, decor in the room reminded us more of the Thailand and Asia then Czech republic. Went for dinner in the restaurant across the park, food was nothing to write home about, 8 pm was closing time, not to convenient, personal and service was great, did not visit the Zamek
, main building, over all nothing special, much better to visit and stay in Zamek Dobris, with fantasic restaurant and much cheaper.
