Our tour guide Phil was great! Coming from 6 generations of slate miners made our tour even that much more interesting and authentic.....definitely worth seeing!

We had good fun going down into the mines and learning about the miners history, my 7 year old loved the opportunity to blow stuff up... the tour guide was on to it, and the pace of the tour was just about right.

Guide was fab although she was very colourful with lovely bright cheery hair!! She got everybody involved in demonstrating different activities. Cafe was very noisy, only had coffee but at £2.50 bit expensive!! Also not the best coffee. Staff very friendly and especially dog friendly...More

Hi, Yes it is advisable to book in advance. On wet days ~ it only rains in school holidays ~ we can be fully booked for the day by 11.00. If you book online you can take advantage of the £10 early bird tickets. You can... More
