One of our Hokkaido Tour package destinations.

I will give this a 'Must Visit' place in Furano. We were given the opportunity to do our own Candle Craft and you can take home as your unique souvenir.

Spend some time to browse through the three different galleries. I am sure you can pick up some souvenirs and also for yourself.

varieties of glassware such as wine glasses, animal figurines, and many more. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Make sure you tell them its as gift and they will gift wrapped it nicely for you.

Recommended.

This was our first stop from New Chitose on our way to Furano and it was a perfect introduction to Furano.

We really loved it here. I think we would even go as far as to say we enjoyed it more than Otaru! The miniature glass figures they have at GFiF are more to our tastes, cute and colourful. The glasses and cups in store 1 were expensive but very unique. We couldn't resist purchasing a 'cracked' glass cup, even though it was very expensive. Store 2 was where we spent most of our time. Picking out all the mini glass figures can take a LOT of time! :)

The other stores were interesting too, but some stores carry more mass produced products. We preferred the unique hand made products.

Travelled with three children aged 7,9 and 13. Opportunity to make glass bead with help. 900¥ each & takes 45 minutes to cool. Kids loved it. If not rushed, can make glass mosaic picture. Enjoyed browsing displays spread over 5 rooms. Can watch glass blowing at one end of building. Children as well as adults found it interesting. Items are pricey but they're handmade and unique. Some amazing textures, particularly the "snow flake look" glassware. A room full of miniature glass figurines. Make great gifts. Otaru has more but when traveling with young children walking in and out of different shops is a little tiring especially in subzero temperatures. Have tried it. Soba shop nearby for some lunch whilst waiting for beads to cool. Ask for directions. Some English is spoken in glass forest shop.

At first I thought its an attraction from the forest, but it turns out to be a shop that sell things made of glass, such as jewelry, souveniers, tumbles and drinking glass etc. This could be an attraction for visitors who would like to buy souveniers to bring home eventhough the selections are not as much as the shop in Venice, Italy.

Stop by Glass Forest in Furano to see a local glass ware shop selling all kinds of miniature designs of animals and jewellery. We went up to L2 for glass candle making. Nice to drop in.

We skipped the outdoor that day as it was raining and decided to join the glass making class there. What a fantastic experience ! The lady staff were very patient with my little daughter and their friendliness overcome any communication issues (thanks for google translate). The place was full of beautiful works of art and I recommend this to families looking for something different to do in Furano.
