We did a dolphin tour and it was amazing!!! We got to swim with Dolphins and see them swim fast around the boat. We also got to see turtles making babies, and then we also got to go snorkeling. It was so cool. At the end we flew the boat back onto the beach at high speed. It was all very exciting. Efray was the guy we worked with, he was great and took care of us.

We easily booked the trip after Efren was highly recommended to us by friends. Also you can just walk up to the boats and ask during the day near Playa de los elefantes.

We did the outing on one boat, 12 passengers + Efren and his younger assistant. Meeting at 7:15 AM for departure at 7:30 AM, return at about 10:00 AM. Paid 350 MXN per person, which considering the experience we had overall is a really good price!

After a first uneventful 30-45 minutes in the outwaters of Zipolite Efren (connecting to other local guides) moved over in front of Mazunte/Mermejita, which is where the real fun started.

First we inspired the fun out of a school of about 10-12 dolphins, swimming and jumping along and right at the bow of our lancia at medium speed for at least a quarter of an hour. We got to sit at the very bow of the boat to enjoy the fun, almost touching the dolphins - that’s how close they were!
Afterwards Efren spotted what could be whales and we directed there at full speed, bypassing numerous golfina seaturtles floating around.
The whales turned out to be an adult couple with a newborn baby whale (about one week old, as we were visiting in the best possible season). There are few words or pictures to describe this experience, one of them: MAJESTIC!
We followed the whale family for more than an hour, Efren always keeping us as close as possible (and always in front line ahead of other boats, which was deeply appreciated). The baby was jumping and twirling and playing all the time, giving us (and Efren, who clearly loves his job every day!) the best time!

If you’re in the area in the right season, this is VERY VERY RECOMMENDED!

We had a great morning on the water seeing dolphins, turtles, rays and 2 whales. Our guide Efren was very professional with safety being top concern. Very informative of the area and all the critters we witnessed, great photo opportunities. It’s our 2nd time using Pacifico Magico Tours and would recommend if your ever in the area to not pass up an opportunity to us this service.
