Beautiful body of water, very clear and perfect for kayaking and swimming. Plentiful free parking, easy water access, family area and a pontoon just off the Beach. There are shaded picnic areas, barbeques and a great cafe. Canoe and SUP hire is available. There is also a walking / cycling trail for out of the water fun. When we visited it was a very warm day but it was not overcrowded.
I highly recommend a visit.

Lots & lots of space for spreading out on. It clean and tidy with plenty of bins provided. Park is ample and relight next to the lake and grassed areas. It has beautiful walking tracks and a playground for children. The lake looks good for swimming however I didn’t swim.

Been coming here for many decades over the years, and yes we all agree that the Lake and the surrounding facilities and the walk track is amazing - especially during the off-peak seasons. However, we were both surprised to not see any signs about PLEASE DO NOT FEED the WILDLIFE. This would be to discourage the feeding of the wild animals & birds that surround this beautiful natural area & the man-made fresh water lake.

Human junk food is NOT healthy for animals & birds, and these were relentless all around us at the cafe. Birds sit up on the dining tables & benches, scavenging for scraps and then defecating all over the chairs & tables. Unbeknownst to this fact, are the next poor couple that sit down to enjoy their meal on the very same table!

We mainly came here for lunch at the cafe, however sadly our experience of the 'Reflections Cafe' was once again disappointing. The sign states the restaurant closes at 3pm (we arrived just before 2pm) - they are packing up. A few more couples behind us have also driven into the Lake area, like us, hoping to grab a sit-down meal...NO LUCK! Lucky the park entry is free, is all we can say.

Strangely enough, the Reflections Cafe take-away menu didn't even have any prices listed on various items - this seems VERY odd for a cafe (don't you think)? The staff members didn't even seem to be aware of this strange oddity, and yet didn't really seemed phased by this fact either. Strange indeed!

However, the one thing that really let us down was the chips! These were served up within 60 seconds of ordering - a sure sign they have been 'sitting' there for ages. They were overcooked (possibly even re-heated), squashed and very dry. Probably because the cooking oil had not been changed for a while or they were cooked at a low temperature for way too long - they were awful! We sent them back, only to receive another batch of the same placed on top of the remaining bad batch. So we left them on the table and continued walking....what a waste of money!

Surely it's best NOT to serve them at all and cook a new batch - customers are more than happy to wait for a new cooked batch. It seems like 'off-season' times and customer service are VERY different than during peak season. A captive audience with no real competitors, will ALWAYS ensure that quality customer service tends to generally slide downhill when the pressure is off to perform to a high standard. So we drove back down into Mundaring - plenty of restaurants still open here!

This is a nice, clean park. The Lake looks safe to swim in. At sunset there are beautiful pink skies. I stayed at the campsite for 2 nights. There is a camp kitchen with a fridge and kettle. The campgrounds are really hard to pent tent pegs onto, so bring a drill or use rocks or go closer to where the trees are cause the ground is softer there. The Ranger was pushing for the gate key at 8.30am in the morning (the key was due at 10am). Other than that the stay was really nice.

Nestled only 40 minutes from Perth is Lake Leschenaultia. A camp ground with 23 6m x 6m powered sites with your own wooden table with bench seats and wood bbq (tents and camper trailers only allowed). Swimming and canoeing in lake, bush walking, bike riding, playground, laundry, cafe onsite. We stayed for two nights but lots of families where coming for the day only and using the picnic facilities. Nice grassed area near lake to sit and spend the day. Free to come to lake for the day but camping charges apply.

The area is about 50 minutes from Perth. The lake area has ample outdoor bench tables, bbq and good toilet facilities with an outdoor shower. What makes this lake different from so many others, is the beach area of the lake, which is perfect for sunbathing and the lake itself which is perfect for swimming. Anchored some 50m from the water's edge is a floating platform complete with ladders to climb onto it, which is perfect to dive or jump from into the lake. The water is warm, and fresh and ideal for swimming on a hot day.
Families with children are in abundance swimming in the shallows and some in the deeper water.
There are also kayaks for hire and nature walks for those who don't want to swim.
An onsite restaurant makes some really nice meals and sells sweets, drinks, and ice-cream for the kids.

Been going for years, facilites well maintained and its always relaxing and fun. Camp grounds well maintained and inexpensive. Cafe should open earlier I'd come there at 6.00am and get an excellent coffee before work if they did.

What a beautiful family friendly place to visit. We wernt prepared and could see us spending alot of time here in the future. Totally devastated to be told by a worker that they will no longer have the camp site or canoe hire in the near future. As a new family, this looked like an awesome place to come camping. Hopefully, the council decides against these future changes.

We have been staying at the lake for 11yrs now at New Years. We have found it perfect as we have a large group made up of family & friends. The kids love being in touch with nature from bush walks to kayaking. They swim all day & play spotlight at night. They love seeing if they can spot possums in the tree or bandicoots running around. Spotting turtles is another favourite. It’s great with the local shop only 5mins away for ice runs or to pick up little supplies including alcohol. If getting the kids outdoors & off technology then this is a perfect spot to camp. It’s always a favourite of ours from young to old. It’s a beautiful spot to relax.
