If you need a change of scenery from lying by the water in the the dry Greek summer warmth, this is a good activity. Beautiful hike by the stream in the shadows of the trees and the cliffs. And if you up for it, a fresh 30-40 meters swim in a 1-2 narrow cliff alley to the bottom of the stream to se the actually waterfall. It was to deep to walk, so I had to swim with my 3 year old on the back. I recommend to wear shoes on the swim as you have to walk on some rocks to reach the waterfall.

Beautiful place, in the nature. Nice clean path an easily accessible to the first waterfall. For those who like adventures they will find it exciting to continue to the next waterfalls. For the rest there is always the choice of the stairs that leads to the restaurant and the next waterfalls

A must to visit for those who love nature and waterfalls.
Hickers will definitely appreciate this experience.
Opportunity also to swim at the end of the Trail, is highly recommended.
You need about an hour or so to this trail and back.

Me and my boyfriend traveled to Samos for a relaxing vacation, but this activity was perfect. Beautiful surroundings and a nice walk through the water. We were there early which was perfect. The stairs leading up to the resturant and the big waterfall are quite scary, but you can chose to walk on the road to potami beach on the way back. It is worth it if you are afraid of heights. Wish you a pleasent trip.

By the road of potami beach follow the trail to the waterfalls. After a quarter of walking into the woods you reach the spot you will have to leave your clothes and personal belongings except if you have a waterproof case cause you'll have to swim for around 10m and walk into rocky waters to reach the first small waterfall, though climbing up and better shape is needed to reach the second biggest one. Beach shoes and swimsuit are necessary. The scenery definitely worths the effort.

A must visit place if you are in Samos.
A rather easy path leads you to the first "pond" from there you can choose if you want to swim/climb upstream or climb the breathtaking wooden stairs to the second pond.
We took the stairs and enjoyed a wonderful view.
My 7 years old daughter made the whole way up and down so do not be afraid to try.
Walking shoes are recommended although we saw many with flip flops, don't forget to take water with you.

Despite walking up here in the heat of the day, the walk was up a valley along the stream and it was cool and lovely. The final bits can only be accessed by wading/swimming and we did not have our stuff but the ones who did said it was really nice.

Well worth it. If you can make it to the Restaurant on the top called Archodissa and come down carefully, it is a wonder. Then, if you can, swim to the falls. Navigating the forested area is a little tricky. Requires a bit of balance. It is truly an adventure. There is a very old church on the grounds.

We came here twice during our stay on Samos, the first time we were unprepared for the water - but we didn't want to miss out!
A lovely walk from the coast road, passing one of the oldest churches on the island. The further in you walk, areas of the path become challenging in places (roots & rocks) and it criss-crosses the (at this stage) shallow brook with rickety wooden bridges (no railings - so take your sense of balance!) In fact in places its easier to cross through the water! All along the setting is absolutely stunning and in places quite jungle like. It's cool as you're shaded by the foliage and keep an eye out for birds & lizards etc., it's a fabulous natural haven. Eventually you come to an opening where most people chose to leave bags etc. Water shoes and water wear are essential as the depth increases to over a metre and it is very rocky in places. Wade or swim your way, through the very cold water, to the waterfall - not massive, but a delightful reward.
Leave phones & cameras at the opening or bring waterproof cases.
Also from the opening there are the most rickety, uneven, wobbly, wooden steps up to a scruffy, but full of character, hillside taverna (branches for railings) a challenging climb (for a not so young person) but not to be missed for a very well deserved cool drink. After all that, maybe make your way back to the pebble beach for a couple of hours where the sun beds are free as long as you buy drinks/food from the beach bar.
Excellent adventure - highly recommend.

A cozy hike up the forest beside the stream led up to the waterfalls. But to get all the way you need to switch to swim suit and but your belongings at the side of the water. A good idea is to also were some kind of shoes or flip flops. You need to walk through the water and it will reach as high as up to the chest. We brought our belongings but needed to hold it over our heads at one point to keep them from getting wet. It was great to be able to take pictures of the beautiful waterfall, but we could only get to the first one. To get higher up to the other ones you need to climb and swim. Next time I'll have a waterproofed bag to but my stuff in and a gopro Camera that will survive the water.
