Poor poor eagles

Took my granddaughter to see the Eagles if Leman
Brilliant display - spoilt by the fact that when I looked behind me I saw the guy grabbing one of the birds by the neck and throwing it down
What a MISERABLE LIFE for these birds
How can anyone deny how sad they look ?
If you are born into captivity- does that mean you never yearn for freedom?
How do ‘tourists’ stay so blind to the misery/suffering of another living creature?
Mind boggling

Fabulous place!
Aug 2018 • Family
This was great- quite pricey but it was worth it - only giving 4* because no family ticket offered.
The birds (of which there was a huge variety) looked very well cared for and the centre was very clean with good facilities. You can get very close to the birds and one has a QR reader where you can access videos of his flights. The best thing was the giant aviary- it was about an acre which you walked through with birds of prey flying freely around you- amazing! We didn’t go to the show (ASD son doesn’t cope with crowds) but watched from a distance. Looked good, though all in French.
English mistranslations for some of the eagles was hilarious, kids found it very entertaining!

Well worth a visit
Aug 2018 • Family
Having visited a number of bird attractions in the UK we decided it was time to try this one as we had driven past many times. There are many birds to see and it was a lovely experience to walk in the large enclosure with huge birds flying around you. This was a new experience. The large enclosure was great but some of the other aviaries seemed rather small for their inhabitants.

The main bird show was a real spectacle. Personally I would rather have had more bird displays than Zorro and horses but that's just my view. I feel the birds are their strength and they could do more with them.

On a practical level the site is easy to negotiate, there are adequate toilets and two cafes . More seats for the displays would be an advantage. You need to be there in good time if you don't want to stand or sit on the grass. As my French is limited I would have appreciated some notes on the commentaries in English or, better still, a recording and headphones. I am sure this should be possible in a number of languages and would greatly add to the enjoyment of foreign visitors.

My granddaughter enjoyed the rabbit enclosure and the chance to be so close but beware if you are wearing sandals. Whilst taking a photo I did not notice the one that came close and bit my toe.

If you enjoy this place and then visit the South of England do try the Hawk Conservancy near Andover. The birds have more freedom in the displays and it is all about birds.

Something for all generations
Aug 2017 • Family
Three generations of our family visited this marvellous attraction last week. It was superb - cannot rate too highly. Very professional and outstanding demonstration.
The children loved the birds, loved the rabbits' feeding time, loved the jousting and enjoyed seeing the birds back in their cages. All in all a fantastic afternoon out for the whole family = highly recommended.

What a great afternoon out! So many birds of prey from tiny falcons to HUGE Condors. Walk through the aviary (if you dare) with the smaller eagles flying around you. Get up close with the eagles and vultures dotted around the park.Stay for the bird show - even if you dont speak French just watching these fabulous birds is well worth it (the falcons are trained to sit on your head!) the 45 min show ends with a great finale with about 15 HUGE eagles, condors, vultures and owls all flying around and swooping - its truely spectacular. For those of you that thinks its cruels - all of these birds are 4th generation born in captivity and are part of a wider conservation project as alot of these wonderful birds are under threat in the wild. Stay also for the jousting - its corny and predictable but great fun and run by really talented stunt men. So worth the £11 entrance ticket!

We attended a display at Planpraz in Chamonix as part of an evening dinner event. We were well fed and entertained and will look out for similar events in the future.

Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon for young and old

This is a great place to visit with kids. The shows "Les seigneurs des cieux" was awesome
and "Le tournoi de chevalerie" was a real spectacle and great fun. Unfortunately the commentary for all the shows was only in French and no translation was available for foreign tourists. It would have been helpful if there was even a leaflet in English explaining each show etc. This would certainly have enhanced the whole experience. Nevertheless, well worth a visit.
