As part of a tour around the Anzio battlefield, it was of course appropriate that we visited here. It's a tranquil setting nd this made it quite a moving experience here. The interpretation sections were also one of the best ways to understand the whole...More

The Anzio landings are a famous point in history. This cemetery is an elegant memorial. After visiting (in '97) I read a history of the landings written from General Clark's point of view. Although a one sided history the area from here to MonteCassino is...More

What a tribute to our troops! Well kept and well designed. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Also, a nice job was done showing what happened in Italy during the war.

After serving in the US Military for 22 years, it was my honor to visit and pay my respects. If you you are traveling and are a US citizen then you should visit the Veterans Memorials that are overseas, without the sacrifices of the heros...More

The cemetery is beautiful and well maintained. It has a nice chapel, with a memorial for the unknown solidiers--all four walls are covered with names. The ceiling is spectacular; it artistically depicts the stars (the constellations) as they were on the exact time of the...More

It may seem odd to visit a cemetery but the war cemeteries in Italy are beautiful locations. This location is just beyond the bustle of Nettuno, easy walk from the beach area. The landscape and architecture are worth a visit and walking amongst the graves...More

Make sure you go to the Nettuno train station, NOT Anzio. The cemetery is actually in Nettuno, directly across from the McDonalds...ironic?

I can't help you with the public transport question, but there are no admission costs. Very nice visitor center just inside the cemetery gates on the right that doubles as an informative museum. Enjoy your visit!
