Main aim of our tour this year

Celebrating the 200th anniversary this year it was great fun to see all the staff caring for both, Lagavulin and visitors. Carry on doing an excellent job.

Visited following on from other distilleries and have to say not quite so friendly....but we warmed to the occasion once we established that we could do a tasting . so the 4 of us shared 4 drams , all with their merits . the tasting room was lovely , the whisky great and we left happy with a special bottle

Lagavulin is undoubtedly a top brand and quality product but wouldn't recommend the £23 warehouse tasting I'm afraid. We marshalled by a troop of workers in hi-vis jackets into the warehouse and were sat down on rickety and uncomfortable folding chairs. Then we were subjected to a relatively poor presentation by a bit of a character who wasn't particularly informative... More

I did some work for Diageo at Lagavulin Distillery during their 200th anniversary, and met some very nice and hard working employees. Everyone is fiercely proud of their workplace and its fantastic product, and rightly so. The little shop was in constant use, selling whisky and some very nice woollen souvenirs.....I was more than happy with my purchase of 18 year... More

We had a great time visiting the Lagavulin distillery. My husband is a huge fan and we are both Parks and Rec fans so it was a cool experience all around. The tour guide was very knowledgable and passionate about the scotch which made the tour great. Only note is that you can't take pictures inside the plant itself. I... More

We booked onto the whisky tasting here and the tour guide was very well informed and friendly! We managed to get a bottle of the festival whisky which was fantastic! We will be coming back next year! A must whilst in Islay!!

This is an excerpt from a customer-service email I sent after my visit: I visited the Lagavulin Distillery on 24 May 2016 during the Feis Ile event. I wanted to take a moment to let you know how incredibly professional your entire staff was during this challenging time; the distillery was very busy (though from what I hear not as... More

We visited this distillery really early in the morning. They just opened. Nevertheless we were most welcome and had a small private tour and a little tasting. Recommend you walk around the distillery to a ruined castle for some great pictures.

Magnificent location right on the shore. The hour long tour of the distillery and it's production is a must do.The tasting at the end is truly memorable with truly heavenly malts.
