We took the Raumabanen from Andalnes to Dombas, and I personally found it to be more scenic than the Flamsbana. We journeyed through mountains, forests, rivers and on bridges. While the Flamsbana also journeyed through similar terrain, we found the views on the Raumabanen less...More

We took this train from Dombas to Andalsnes, and was a nice scenic enchanting journey through forests, meadows, bridges over gurgling brooks, snow capped peaks and cliffs.. typical norwegian scenery. Although I would hesitate to rate it as one of the most scenic train journeys,...More

Really enjoyed this journey, lovely scenery. You can book your seat but do buy early so you can get a window seat. There is a really good commentary along the way and the train will slow down so you can take photographs at particular sites....More

We took the very pleasant 90 minute journey fromn Dombas to Andalsnes. We were lucky enough to get perfect sunny weather and the scenery was fantastic so much so that the journey seemed to go by very quickly. Would definitely recommend this train journey.
