Recently booked this through an agent. Agent openly admitted that he doesn't normally deal with this company but as we wanted to use them he would call up for us. Called with us in office and agreed a price with man answering the company phone. When we arrived the man on pontoon was clearly not happy with the price and... More

We paid a good price with a reputable ticket agency (who we have used for all trips and so gained a good discount with him). We turned up and we're the only ones going out on the boat. I overheard the captain say (didn't think I would understand him!) that is wasn't viable with only four so either he wouldn't... More

We are very sorry you had a bad experience yesterday, but the problem was not with Ocean Explorer. We do not work with travel agencies because there have been too many misunderstandings in the past. When the travel agency called to reserve places with us, we told the travel agent that you needed to come to the harbour to book... More

We had a wonderful experience with the Ocean Explorer. Small group ( 10 ), we saw lots of dolphins and pilotwhales even a big whale! The animals are really relaxed with this boat and it's skipper! They cruise with the utmost respect for nature and the whales and dolphins and the whole experience is very friendly and they really take... More

I know it is sometimes hit and miss with nature and promises of what one can see but the pilot whales were magnificent, how Capt Nico saw a turtle in the middle of this vast expanse of sea will never know and the dolphins were just so graceful. If u want to crowd on to a deck and have food... More

Best boat trip in Los Gigantes by far. We have been taking trips with ocean explorer since 2005 and they are the best for seeing the whales. Also saw a hammerhead shark as a bonus.

Absolutely brilliant 90 minute boat ride with Captain Nico. Small group (10 people) so plenty of room on the very clean and comfortable boat. Also, the small boat meant we were really close to the water, giving us amazing views. Saw lots of pilot whales, including mothers with babies, as well as some dolphins who were happy to put on... absolutely an incredible trip. right up close to the dolphins. 12 person max on the boat gives a more incredible experience. Saw a pod of 12 dolphins including babies. My only down side was two children on the boat screaming every thirty seconds when seeing a dolphin. it is great for families but not when 99% are adults. Families try... More

Lovely young skipper with a fast boat which only takes 10 max, who will get you viewing whales and dolphins better than the rest. Enjoyable.

Wanted to go on this after reading the reviews on here - found the "rep" in the harbour and booked a trip for later that day. Went out on time, but sea was a little choppy once outside the harbour and spray was soaking the backs of some (including me)... but the pilot found the Dolphins and they were pretty... More

We spoke with the captain and he assured us that clients have seen the pilot whales on all the whale watching trips we've done in May and June 2016. In the pictures posted by this reviewer, we can actually see both the pilot whales (in the close-up picture) and the bottlenose dolphins (in the picture with the ship with sails... More

You must try a trip on the ocean explorer,we had it recommended to us on our holiday it is the most popular boat on the marina, it takes you out twice a day for two hours for 15 euros and you have a guarantee that ic you don't see any whales or dolphins you get your money back
