A vineyard tour with a difference. We learned a lot about growing grapes and tasting wine. Lovely food cooked by the lovely Gustavo! Would thoroughly recommend this tour.

We had absolutely no idea what to expect from this - we booked it through our resort as 'First Wine Tour' and that's all the information we had. We assumed, having been on many wine tours, that this was possibly a trawl around local vineyards but in fact it was something quite different.
We were picked up from our resort and taken to Vinedos Angola by a young man passionate about his island and its countryside. We stopped along the way to learn about the flora and fauna of the area. When we reached the vineyard we did not, as you might expect, get stuck into the wine right away. Instead we were giving a very enlightening look into viticulture as practised by these people. Later, we tried some of their wines, accompanied by a 3 course meal. The outing was terrific value for money and I can't think when we last enjoyed a wine tour quite so much.

Great day out, quiet, relaxing and informal, just the best way to spend a quiet day. We were picked up on time by our guide, Vitor, who was knowledgable and knew his vines, taken up th mountain which took about 30 minutes, all the time we got to hear about the local history and politics, which was nice to hear from a local. We arrived to a stunning view and a glass of the good stuff, and it was very good indeed. We had a tour of the vineyard and a discussion on how they look after the vines, we then had a look at how they choose the grapes and when to harvest, efollowed by more wine, then lunch very raster and more wine, then more wine and a pleasant trip back. All in all a great way to spend a few hours...

The trip was exactly as described, a trip to a Canarian Vineyard with real vines, real grapes and obviously real local wine. Vito the driver and enthusiastic guide picked us up from our hotel and drove us to pick up one other couple, The journey took about 30 minutes with stunning scenery all the way and a fascinating insight to local flora and fauna. A stop half way up for a wonderful view of the coastline and a photo opportunity. The vine yard was well maintained and the greeting was genuine and non commercial. We walked around the vines discussing their growth and the different ways they were situated on a steep hill side. The family home was the setting for a superb lunch all included in the €55 price. A lovely lesson in Canarian wine tasting was the after lunch entertainment again Vito was so enthusiastic, we were then joined by the owner and even more enthusiastic Manolo who did not sit and stand still the whole time, he was showing us wines planted by his forefathers over 100 years ago and their subsequent lives. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and we will be sure to revisit the next time we are on the island, Thank You Vito and Manolo.

We were picked up by Minolo from our resort and were treated to an informative and most interesting tour of some of Tenerife and the mountains leading to the vineyard. We driove along narrow roads with breath taking views, all the while Minolo chatted away. We saw some of the real island away from the tourist hub.
We then arrived and the realtour began. Minolo described with some passion his grandfather and father how they had built up the business and how he had made some changes planting new vine. We then were shown the process of how he makes wine and to appreciate the various subtle flavours from his production. His passion for the quality of the wine produced is enourmous. We were shown the vines, the vats, and the processes he uses.
We were also fortunate that we were joined by one other couple who appeard also to show the same interest as we had.
Once we had sampled some of the wine and how to drink it, we were given a tour of the building which had been home to his family and where he grew up, and then a lovely meal on the terrace overlooking the mountains.
A great day out, if you enjoy rural culture of Tenerife.

We have done a few wine tastings around the world but this one is very unique and very personal. Vito and Milano was amazing hosts and they made us feel very at home.
Vito collected us from our hotel and as we drove up the mountain he took the time out to explore,Abi the history of the towns and even stopping along the way to take photos of the magnificent views from the mountain. The vineyard was called Angola and it's situated 1500m above the sea level. The drive was very good and adventurous towards the vineyard.
Arriving at the vineyard it felt very traditional as Milano spoke of his family home and talked passionately about keeping the family name alive. Showing off his traditional home and talking about his family history made the tour very interesting and personal.
Vizo was our tour guide and he took us around the vineyard explaining how the grapes were grown and harvested in a very traditional way still. This made the vineyard very lovely to feel and experience how the grapes the grown and what tools they used.
After the tour we were taken inside the house where Milano cooked a very traditional meal for us which was amazing and very tasty. Along with the meal vizo taught us a little bit on how to taste the wine and how to tell the age of the wine without looking at the bottle.
We have never experienced a tour like it or seen a very traditional vineyard as this one. The time they took to explain and allowing us to taste the wine has been an amazing experience. We would highly recommend adding this to your to do list or things to achieve whilst in Tenerife.
We will definitely be back and the wine was out of this world.

We paid €55.00 each for an tour of this wonderful vineyard, and was excellent value. We were picked up at our hotel by Manolo, (the owner) who is quite a character indeed. Driven up to vineyard through national park and given tenrife tour and stopped for photos etc ... once there We were told how the wines are created, and learnt so much. After sampling one or two wines, we were then treated to a Canarian 3 course lunch that was superb. With more bottles of wine on table .. 10/10 to these guys for giving us a fantastic afternoon. We will definitely visit again.

This winery is a must for people who enjoy quality wine and good food served by Manolo the part owner He is so passionate regarding the business which was started by his ancestors. He is the fourth generation. His Mother still is the head of the business. The wine making has not changed in all years. A real treat. WONDERFUL DAY THANK YOU SO MUCH Brenda and Richard

We are staying at the Iberostar GRand Hotel Mencey in Santa Cruz. How far away are we? Would you pick us up? There will be 4 adults, what would our cost be.
thanks

We booked the trip through our resort and transport to the vineyard was included. In Tenerife, nowhere is very far from anywhere 😉
