Rottu and minibuses depart from the East Bus Terminal in Ekkamai. Tickets (105B one way) for Chachoengsao Bus Terminal can be purchased at the 18th, 26th, and 56th windows. The bus departs early when it is full, so it is recommended to arrive at the boarding point 30 minutes before departure. When I went, one person who had already purchased a ticket did not show up, so the bus departed on time. From Chachoengsao to Pink Ganesha, take a songthaew (40B one way). This also departs early when the number of passengers is full, so be careful.
When I went, it was the end of the year, so there were not many people at Pink Ganesha, and it felt like a festival with street vendors lined up. I returned to Chachoengsao Bus Terminal early, but they were selling minibus tickets for the 8pm departure (as of 2:30pm). They tell foreigners to go back by national railway if they are in a hurry, and that there are no buses because the bus is full. However, the staff member said in Thai that the next bus will be available to those with tickets for 5pm. In the end, I found out that the time on the ticket is not the departure time, but they don't know when it will depart. It departs when it arrives from Bangkok and is full.
I waited patiently for the train to Ekkamai, but there were two trains to Mochit in the meantime. If I had taken those, I wouldn't have had to wait three and a half hours, but at the time I didn't think I would have to wait that long.
I was with someone who spoke Thai and Japanese natively, so I understood a lot of things, but I think it's something that Japanese people would never understand. In general, can you buy a ticket without knowing the departure time? If I were alone, I would have gone back on the national railway.
However, I was previously taught that the national railway of Thailand doesn't run according to the timetable, so you can just ignore the time on the ticket and get on when you arrive.

Lord Ganesh laying it down at Wat Saman Ratannaram, Chachoengsao, Thailand.
Now in my top 5 temples to visit in Thailand.. although it’s a bit of cash grab, these amazing statues on the inside, are just glorified gift shops. There Is an entire market within it for food, drinks, shopping and animal petting.
Also can see Wat Sorhorn Rattanaram which about 20mins drive from this temple.
Takes about 90mins drive from Bangkok.
Prepare to be hot & Bring lots of change.

There is a pink elephant Ganesha lying down. It is said that wishes come true and that they come true quickly. There is a bronze statue of a rat of the color of the day of the week you were born. If you cover one ear of the rat and whisper a wish, it will come true. I came here. The most popular one is the white rat, and it is said that it will make you rich. I bought a candle, incense, gold paper, and flowers for 20 baht, and prayed by imitating others.

This is a temple with a pink elephant.
There is a separate place for making requests for yourself and for family and friends and other people. You whisper about yourself to the rats around Ganesha, the rat of the colour of the day of the week you were born.
You will be greeted by vividly coloured gods and angels.

I have been to Thailand about 5 times, but I have never been there, so I took a minibus from Bangkok city to Ekamai East Bus Terminal. Usually I would go by bus, but luckily the lady at the counter said direct that day, so I used it. It took about two hours for 180 Baht one way. I was satisfied to see the huge Pink Ganesha, but I thought it would not be satisfying for some people because the area is like a B-class attraction.

I came here on a trip to Thailand with a business associate. This is where the pink Ganesha is lying down. You can make a wish on the mouse ears, but there were too many people so we gave up. There is a sightseeing boat on the premises that goes up and down the river for about 30 minutes. It is also nice to see Ganesha from the river. When we got off the boat, it was less crowded than before, so we made a wish. If you are planning to come, it may be a good idea to plan your schedule so that you have plenty of time even if it is crowded.

A beautiful pink coloured idol of Lord Ganesha oversees this scenic place. Frequented by both locals and foreigners, this Temple is a must visit place. It is just around 100 kms away from Bangkok.
I was delighted to listen to chants and a devotional song (Aarati), both in Marathi Language, sung in praise of Lord Ganesha.

Visited Thailand's biggest Ganesh Temple, observed that majority of visitors were Thai citizens. Amazed to listen Ganesh Aarti's & Hindi songs.
This spot is having 3 big murties of God Ganesh, God Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh and Chinese God.
Atmosphere was very good and holy. Maintained cleanliness like anything.
A good spot to visit for all Indian in Thailand

I would reccomend this one-day trip - away from the crowded metropole that is Bangkok. Wat Saman Rattanaram is filled with amazing statues. The Indian music playing on the background is an excellent addition to the surrealistic atmosphere on the site.

Thanks for answering questions. I see statues of mice around the Lord Ganesha statue, and giant serpents nearby. Are the mice meant to be guarding Ganesha, or is that the job of the serpents? Thanks again!

What would be a convenient way to travel to the temple from bangkok?

What are the shortest and easiest ways to get there and how much do they costs?
Written October 10, 2017
You do not say where you are starting from, so it is a bit hard to answer your question. But if you are in Chachoengsao City and do not have a car, the best way would be by taxi. But I suggest you negotiate the fare before you start.
The temple does not cost anything, but there are many stalls selling souvenirs, food and drinks.

is there any entry fee to be paid for Wat Saman Rattanaram Temple
Written December 19, 2015
As in most Wats (temples) in Thailand, there is NO admission charge. You should have long pants and women should cover bare shoulders but even that has been greatly allowed these days. Some places, and I vaguely recall this one included, have things available to help meet these minimum respectful clothing standards, sometimes for a small donation.
