Very well put together museum in a lovely seaside town. The kids loved it, and it was a nice place to spend an hour. Definitely recommended.

At last I got to know this beautiful well presented museum!
Luckily we went on a Tuesday and it was free of charge. However, I still recommend buying an audio guide for a modest €1.50. Staff an ex fisherman himself that used to fish in Jersey Channel Islands was both friendly and knowledgeable. The place has three floors and deserves at least one perhaps too. Lots of shells, fossils, ship models and information. The temporary exhibition in the top floor about Pirates was especially funny. Pity there were no exhibits this time about local craft 'malla': lace. Worth a visit any time so close to the seafront and beach especially on a rainy day.

The Spanish certainly know how to present a modern engaging museum. This was full of exhibits on all things marine spread over 3 floors. A modern, engaging approach. English speakers will need to pay the €1.5 for the audio which was a touch long. Really good value and intetesting. No soap in any of the 3 male and female bathrooms.

This is my second visit, we visited today to see their Pirates and Corsairs exhibition. The collection of Maritime history is wonderful. There are great dioramas, models of ships and large scale ships and fishing boats. I really recommend to visit if you are in Luanco

Really worth a visit and for a very small fee (just 2,8 EUR regular adults on Nov. 2015). They have a nice range of interesting exhibits: from fossils to fishing tools and models of ships from different times and origins. For those visiting with kids there are also few interactive spots for them to draw, tie knots, etc and stop bothering grown ups (always appreciated :D)
We lingered a bit more than other visitors, but invested there 2 good hours. I definitely recommend it.
