The castle located in the center of Bozcaada and attracting you with its magnificent appearance while approaching Bozcada. It is surrounded by a moat on the other hand, which is leaning on one side to the sea, and you enter the castle by passing through a bridge over this moat. The entrance to the castle is paid and the museum card is not valid. The area of the castle is very large and you have a hard climbing and hiking. You can also enter the rooms that are not well-organized and see the amphoras here. Taking photos in the small window on the tower is very popular on social media. You have to pay attention to the stairs when you get up and down here.
There is no clear information about who first built Bozcaada Castle, one of the best preserved castles in our country, but it was used by Genoese, Phoenicians and Venetians. It also took its present form in 1455 during the reign of Fatih Sultan Mehmet. Renovations were also made in 1657 and 1815.
In the garden of Bozcaada Castle, concerts and movie nights are organized in summer time. It must be on the list of things to do in Bozcaada.

A will reconstructed period castle, worthy a visit if only for views of Bozcaada.
Care must be taken with small children as NO safety rails. Having visited many antique sites in Turkey I am surprised at the relaxed approach to safety in this castle.
Information boards are very informative, even for non-history buffs.
More could be done to maintain the castle, weeds and rubbish everywhere.
Renovation maintenance is required as much of the previous restoration is crumbling.
Bozcaada has a colourful history, a beautiful town.

One of the places you have to visit in Tenedos island. You can take good photos at the top of the castle.

The castle is a well preserved and has a great location. You can walk inside with a beautiful atmosphere. Actually not much thing left inside, but still a good place to see, especially for the view of the see.

The castle commands a wonderful view over the town and surroundings of Bozcaada. It is very well-preserved, and has several indoor places of interest, including an intriguing display of photographs, inside the well-lit bastion. There was subtle jazz music playing, which drifted on the wind! Several stone staircases to the high ramparts, which we didn't use! Clean and tidy, well kept, and helpful steward. we stayed a while and painted some watercolours.

This is a big and beautiful castle. We love the whole atmosphere standing and looking at it. It feels a bit mystical as we watch black crows flying around the castle almost all day. Black crows are one of the symbol of this island. You can take a dip in the sea around there, close by the castle. There're many cafes and restaurant that you can sit and enjoy the view at the same time. It's quite an awesome view. Go in and explore...it'll bring you back in time too. We love it.

The abandoned castle is the most exciting part. Food experiences were not great here although I did not get to do the wine tasting I wanted to. This stop was part of our cruise. I wouldn't choose to go back here on my own.
