Beautiful

Surprisingly quiet for school holidays. If you are willing to walk a short distance you can have a big section of beach to yourself. Fascinating coast line and geology. An undiscovered treasure.

Scenic rocks
Aug 2021 • Family
Really loved this section of coastline. Stay away from the base of the cliffs, certain death if they collapse. Lots to explore such as rock pools, and the possibility of finding fossils. Free parking and a nice cafe selling tea and coffee and pastries etc. Good clean toilets too.

Nice Rocky Pebble Beach
Jul 2021
Nice rocky beach, with lots of fossils. There is a small stretch of sand near the cafe end if that's what you like but there are plenty of other beaches in Wales for that.
Doing the circular walk from the town hall car park, past St Illtuds Chuch and up the hill, through the crop fields coming out on the beach at the opposite end of the cafe area near the big cave, then following the coastal path all the way back to the car park is recommended.
There are toilets in the town hall car park (they close early, but there's a disabled toilet if you have a radar key). There are also toilets at the cafe.

Lovely area, plenty of places to eat and drink here, it is a pebble beach though not sand but still idyllic.

Beautiful first date
Aug 2020 • Couples
We travelled down by car following google maps, we were a bit cautious due to the narrow roads. However we found that there was car parking at the beach which was very helpful and convenient.
The beach itself was beautiful, very picturesque and we only regretted leaving our phones in the car so we could not take a picture. We had a short swim in the sea but warn others that there are very sharp rocks under the water. We ended up cutting our feet pretty badly!

Love this beach but better when tide is out . Great for finding fossils of the sea life millions of yesrs ago . Car park is great . Drive dowm through villiage is narrow road but dog walkers and locals always are aware of cars . Cafe is available and public toilets . Windy beach dress appropriatly

This is an amazing small beach , amazing walks and views, there is a little beach cafe but be warned is a cash only place, friendly welcome and great snacks...a bacon sandwich is a must here with a mug of coffee after a brisk walk.
go enjoy and contemplate life here
