Very nice beach close to Barcelona. Great for families as it is shallow and at the time of my visit waves were not strong at all.

Clean beach, 6yr old could manage the waves (yellow flag) as very shallow, 3 yr old supervised constantly as waves too strong for her. Green flag, beach is perfect for small children. If you are visiting just after the festa major ends, beach area and...More

This is a fantastic beach, only an hour south of Barcelona. Huge, with white sand and clear water. Very shallow and perfect for kids or just beach games.

Gorgeous beach, and it was very quiet when we went so very relaxing. There's toilet blocks, outdoor showers and bars (although it did take the guy about 15 minutes to make a Mojito) every so often which is very handy. The people coming along the...More

The beach is great, views are fantastic and you have bars and lot of services on it, but the water is usually not so clean since the sand may have been added from a river source.

We visited beginning of September, it was not over-crowded, sand was quite clean (it's fine bright coloured sand), some beach volley nets are available, there are chirinquitos (small bars) with snacks and fresh drinks, over all recommended

Quiet Beach with soft yellow sand. The water is clear and the waves small. Quite flat sandbuttom, siutable for children. No traffic near the Beach as there is grass in front. No sunloungers, noone trying to sell you stuff.

According to Google maps you can take a bus from the airport to the train station, with a couple of short walks, and then train to town train stop and walk a couple of blocks to the beach. Looks like 1:15 total time.
