The team of the school consists of guys which they seem to be 18-th century British Fleet Marshal. Being in fact frustrated exiles. In their minds sailing is a set of rules to obey and opportunity to show their supremacy as as an authority in sailing situation. Unfortunately the team have no experience in real sailing, out of their playground. Neither about personal culture nor about humanistic values nowadays. The “sailing knowledge” they try to transfer is just the lack of experience and stiffness going “by the manual”. The man-head of the place is in the addition homophobe and misogynist telling tales and jokes in in this climate. One should steer clear of these people.

I have read this review - in utter disbelief. Firstly due to GDPR regulations and the length of time since this person apparently did a course with us - i am unable to go back and see who this person is making it very difficult to comment. All of of our instructors are highly qualified and extremely experienced with many miles under their belts, and able to adapt to the situation. Yes, we have procedures - but these are only to ensure a consistent and safe manner of doing things on board. As a school we welcome all, and pride ourselves on our non discriminatory views and attitudes.

What an amazing 2 weeks. The team at Endeavour were out standing on every level. To compliment their vast international sailing experience their patience, support and encouragement were hugely appreciated. The classroom work combined with the practical days on the water were invaluable and great fun. We’ve learnt so much and made some lovely new friends in the process....life changing! We’ll be back for more.

I enjoyed every minute of the course; from the steep learning curve of the theory of navigation, to being out on the waves, carrying out Man Over Board manoeuvres. Stephanie and Keith are vastly experienced, offering sound advice and bucket loads of patience. The rest of their team were very friendly and approachable as well. The course was extremely well run and I would thoroughly recommend Endeavour Sailing.

Thank you for your kind words - and you did amazingly well, as you say it was a steep learning curve and your hard work, commitment and determination paid off - a big congratulations. See you out on the waves soon.

I have just returned from completing a week long Day Skipper course with Endeavour. A truly professional but family friendly team providing excellent service from email contact before booking the course right through to helping me out when leaving Lanzarote with Covid-19 causing flight chaos. Andy was a brilliant and thorough instructor and provided a very agile approach to covering the syllabus around changeable wind conditions so we got the most out of actual sailing. A friendly Scotsman with fantastic experience and good person handling skills ( teaching sailing to a Frenchman who had some language challenges was very well handled ) Steph was great in the booing process and making sure I was prepared and was very reassuring. The meet and greet was welcoming and the lemon drizzle cake by Keith’s mum was very much appreciated on board. The cabins were comfortable, fresh linen and roomier than expected for a 37ft yacht. Food was good and most importantly winds were great most of the week ( more luck than judgement ) With only 3 on the course we had a cabin each so no bunk sharing which was also very considerate and good planning by Steph. The base marina in Puerto Calero is perfect, with a quiet marina, less hustle and bustle than other parts of the island, but we moored in other places and saw a bit of Arrecife and Rubicon too. Well done Endeavour and I hope the virus constraints don’t hit business too hard.

4 of us who have all sailed before and are ICC, day skipper and above, wanted a week sailing without the pressure of an exam at the end of the week. A holiday week sailing but at the same time gaining experience, asking questions, practicing skills and becoming more competent. With good wind for the first part of the week we sailed with the owner Keith and in the latter part of the week, when the wind disappeared, we practiced our boat skills with Stephanie, his wife, in the marina. What a great week we had. Both have a fantastic knowledge which they impart with calm reassurance. Could go on for ever about how good it was but suffice to say thoroughly recommend Endeavour Sailing however experienced you are. AE
