Enjoyable day out, needs more places to get food/picnic
Aug 2020 • Family
We visited here with a group of children in August.

The walk round the park was very enjoyable, but quite long to go without proper picnic tables or places to buy a snack.

It does look a little dated but this didn’t detract from the enjoyment. We spent a good 2-3 hours here.

It was ok

This place was nice but a bit run down. Think if they injected some more money into it and updated the statues it would be great.

The cave was lovely though! It was all in French but there was an English book you could read going along but of course it's too dark to read it lol

Good fun and educational
Aug 2019
This was a nice walk through the shaded woods on a very hot day. The dinosaur models may not be cutting edge but they are striking and the kids loved them - some are impressively large. Probably as much on evolution of humans as dinosaurs. A little cheaper than some other similar types of activity.

We took our two year old grandson to this park and hoped he would enjoy it despite his age. We needed a pushchair as it is a long walk for little legs and challenging for older ones as the path is loose stones and quite steep in places. There are helpful shallow steps alongside some bends. There was only one automated dinosaur as it was September but that was scary enough for me! We all enjoyed the sound effects which added to the experience as you happened upon each model. The information boards were helpful and in English as well as French. No snack bar outside of July and August but we were only there for an hour and a half. Pleasant welcome and the usual gift shop. We could have visited a grotte that some other visitors told us was a 'fairytale'. Next time?

Interesting Place
Aug 2018 • Family
Went hear with our 7 year old Son, interesting place taking you through a historic time line from the Dinosaurs to early man. Lots of exhibits of dinosaurs that I had not heard of previously. Information boards at each exhibit were in both French and English.

Pathway is stone path which defends a little steep in places and then ultimately has to rise back up towards the visitor centre. It was a long walk on a hot day but easily manageable at a gentle pace.

You also get the opportunity to purchase access to a tour of the caves which are accessed on the walk through the parc.

The caves are good, very cold, which was very welcome. They do have blankets for those who feel the cold. The cave tour was good, only in French. There was an English language book to accompany you, which was tricky to read in the dark areas of the cave. If they could have had a recorded tour for non French speaking visitors like at Pidirac would be great.

We got the gist of it and would recommend adding this to the visit.

A roaring good time!

We stumbled across this place whilst holidaying in the Dordogne region, and our three girls (11, 6, 2) really enjoyed it. Admission fee is reasonable, and there is a snack bar there, but with limited choice so you might be best taking a picnic.
Once inside you are taken on a journey through the various prehistoric ages, culminating in the introduction of man (and woman) and how they influenced the environment.
It’s educational, but done so cleverly so that the entertainment factor is high and nobody realises they are actually learning! You walk round a trail, and there are some great giant models of dinosaurs all accompanied by roars and shrieks and at times you can imagine yourself in that world.
We didn’t queue when we arrived about lunch time, but when we came out there was a giant queue so it’s obviously very popular, so maybe get there early to avoid the rush.

The kids loved it!

We came here whilst on holiday in the Dordogne with a Dino-mad 3 year old and 5 year old. The entrance fee was very reasonable (free for under 5s). Lots and lots of models to look at in a lovely setting (lots of up and downs so not massively buggy friendly). The highlight was the animatronic dinosaurs in the field. Nice picnicking area, so would suggest bringing your own lunch. A well stocked gift shop (but very expensive!). We would go again if we're in the area again.

Nice place set in a lovely forrest, but, umm got to be honest the dinosaurs are ok at best and the various stages of monkey developing into man are bad, some are shocking!! The Megalosaurus is good but if your expecting Jurassic park you'll be disappointed. Overall not too bad as long as your expectations are low, the boards in French and English by all exhibits give a lot of detailed and interesting info about
