Saltaire Festival takes place in Roberts Park
Sep 2021
We visited the park in order to watch the musical entertainment during the Saltaire Festival. The park made a good venue as the bandstand that the artists used was situated at the bottom of a raised area which gave a good view for the spectators.
It's a lovely park and forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that also incorporates Sir Titus Salt's famous factory and village.
Well worth a visit even when the annual Festival is not on.

Nice big open space at the bottom of the hill in Saltaire near the river and canal with sports space and a cafe in summer to relax and enjoy the space.

Part of the Saltaire World Heritage site

It was lunchtime when we arrived at the park so decided to call in at the Boathouse Inn at the side of the River Aire and enjoyed some delicious food. We then went to walk our lunch off with a walk round Roberts Park with its beautiful flowerbeds, bandstand, fields, play areas etc. Just behind the Inn is the Leeds Liverpool towpath where we went on a delightful canal trip on the Titus - a bargain at £4 for a 30min trip. Behind Roberts park is the oldest working cable tramway at Shipley Glen which is an adorable woodland ride. A great day out with something for everyone,

We had a fab time here, it's spacious, has a good play area and the river completes this stunning park. Never knew it existed so close by. An absolute must for everyone to visit. Great for animals too. There's just soo much to see and do here, I've never before spent 7hours in a park.

Lovely Public Space, Icecream stop is a must
Oct 2019
Me and the partner visited last Sunday for a bit of an escape from the house during a particularily grim rain storm that has lasted the last 4 days. Even in the horrible weather it is still a gorgeous little place.

With on site parking and even more available in Saltaire Village, well maintained and pretty with an excellent cafe (Half Moon Cafe).

Plenty of open space for children and dogs to have a bit of freedom and some lovely buildings and structures.

Went on the day of Saltaire village festival. Place was full of craft and food stalls and music. Park was really nice alongside the river and includes a cricket pitch.
