I had a great experience here. It’s really nice place for a walk specially in sunshine. I’ll definitely come back here again.

Woodland & meadow, with a miniature railway, bird feeding area, allotments and plenty of bluebells in spring

A well maintained green space for all to enjoy. Friends of Northcliffe run events for conservation and enjoyment throughout the year - see their website for details. The area is much loved by locals. It was given for recreation by the local MP in 1920, so will be 100 in 2020 - maybe there will be special celebrations then!

Decided on taking out granddaughter out for the afternoon and went to northcliffe park and woods . Spent a good hour in the play area before going through the woods and rest of the park, plenty to see and do and ideal for picnics in the summer

Beautiful woodland

Lovely stroll with the dog.
Squirrels and birds, also parakeets 😍
You can park in a layby at the top near the golf club or at the opposite end by the main A650. A nice stream to follow and fields at the top.

Great dog walking area. There is a wood and stream and a minature train line for the kids.
Higher up there are fields and 2 great playgrounds.
Plenty to explore for all.

Beautiful woodland & play area
Jul 2018 • Family
My 6 year old wanted to go exploring a forrest so I searched online & found Northcliffe Woods / Park. It was lovely, there was lots of woodland area to explore. There was also a really nice play area. This is clearly a park that is well taken care of - no graffiti, no rubbish around - it's how it should be. You can park you car there too (free), although I didn't realise this & I parked further up the road. There are a couple of take away shops nearby if you need food & drinks. I'm not sure of nearby toilets.

Kids loved it
May 2018 • Family
My Grand children loved their trip, they climbed trees, climbed rocks, ran about, waded the stream. We took a picnic with us and they enjoyed every morsel, we took very little back. We then had a game of cricket, it was going so well until I bowled my grandson out with a perfect "Yorker" ha ha, he was not impressed. they slept like logs that night

Northcliffe Woods and Park, a beautiful place to step off the whirlwind of life for a couple of hours.
May 2018
Although small these woods are worth visiting for their beauty and mix wildlife and fauna. Accessible from the main A650 there is easy parking and a flat path that leads up tons model railway that runs on weekends during the summer. The path then winds up hill to the golf club taking you through ancient woodland. For the more adventurous and fitter amongst us, there are paths to the right that take you steeply uphill to Northcliffe Park, affording you views across the AireValley to Baildon Moor. The area was gifted to Shipley by Norman Rae for leisure purposes. If you join the track running along the top of the wood you will come across NEET Nurseries where you can get a coffee, tea or ice-cream in the summer months. A charity that supports adults with special educational needs, they grow and sell plants to the public too. There is a small carpark here but be careful what time you park here as the bottom gate is locked early evening. Northcliffe Allotments run parallel to the park and woods further along this track. If you want to step into nature and enjoy some peace and quiet for a couple of hours, this is a great place to visit. Wheel chair access is possible as far as the model railway, and possibly a little further but the path gets bumpy and gradually rises through woods.
