Lovely woods

These woods are both beautiful and interesting to walk through, with some interesting history thrown in. Definitely somewhere I'd visit again.

Northcliffe is a lovely place to walk at any time of the year. It offers the woodland walk plus the railway which is very popular with the children as is the playgrounds. Easy to get to and parking is available.

Something for everyone here. Miniature railway, 2 playgrounds, tennis courts, fabulous woodland... You can see so many animals including parakeets and deer, depending on the time of visiting. Excellent for dogs too

Lived near north cliffe for a lot of years. It's is a brilliant green space belonging to the people of Shipley. Good in any season.... Spring and summer picnics, space to run and play. Winter.... A fabulous place for sledging! Autumn walks through the woods.

All the years I've lived in Bradford and have never been to this park. What a lovely surprise. Hidden away from the main road this Park has its own miniature rail way during the summer, a lovely play area, tennis courts and bowling green. A beautiful walk through the woods passing the gentle flowing stream that windes around the high... More

I have spent the majority of my life living in Shipley and never get fed up of going to North Cliffe for a walk through the woods any time of year. You always meet plenty of people with kids and dogs just strolling through enjoying the lovely surroundings. In the warmer months on a Sunday I always take my grandchildren... More

The woodland borders a ghyll with a babbling brook. Paths are through the ghyll, or along the tops. At one end is a miniature railway, kids love it. At the other end the woods open up onto a huge meadow which you can walk through. Lovely for an morning or afternoon stroll. Lots of squirrels to be seen. My favourite... More

These woods are close to my home and very convenient to visit. Great for the dogs, but keep them under control as the amount of wildlife is significant. Includes squirrels, many type of birds, voles, mice, hedgehogs, rabbits, if your lucky foxes and deer. Great foliage for the kids to identify and many animal tracks if your into that. Parking...
