We worked with Ciao Andiamo to create our customized 14 day trip based off their "Northern Italy Indulgence" itinerary and will highly recommend this team for any and all of your Italy trip planning. From the initial coordination process with Sean to working with Cris planning some last minute activities while we were on the trip, they provided top notch service and support throughout the entire process. We truly struggle to tell people what our favorite part was because each day was full of wonderful memories we will treasure and I know there is no way we could have created a trip of this caliber on our own. Thank you to the Ciao Andiamo team for all of your time helping us have a magical Italian experience!

Ciao Andiamo will forever be a huge part of my wife and I’s life after we partnered with them to plan our 10 day honeymoon to Italy. Everyone on the team was responsive, knowledgeable, friendly, and truly wanted us to have the most amazing getaway. Their passion for Italy and all the country has to offer really shows in the diverse options they provide for excursions and the enthusiasm in which the team communicates.
We visited Rome, Praiano, and Florence and every driver and guide was on-time, knowledgeable, and really fun to be around! Ciao Andiamo made travel between each city so simple, and set up our 10 day itinerary so we also had plenty of time to explore on our own.
My wife and I had been dreaming of going to Italy for our honeymoon for years and Ciao Andiamo made that dream come to life in a way that was so much more beautiful and fulfilling than we could’ve imagined. WOW!!! Our experience with Ciao Andiamo was absolutely A+++++. For our honeymoon, my husband and I wanted a stress free and authentic trip throughout Italy. I have been to Italy before and had done all of the must sees so we were looking to design a bespoke trip to hit some new places and visit a few favorites. Right from the beginning, Sean was terrific. He was thoughtful, responsive, helpful, and professional. He designed a trip that hit all of our must haves — Sorrento, Ischia, Umbria, Firenze, and Lago di Como. He helped me make tweaks and offered terrific suggestions based on our budget and wants. He also helped make restaurant reservations which we appreciated as well.
From the second we landed in Italy, every detail was taken care of. It was terrific to have our itinerary on the app, as well as Cristiana available on WhatsApp for questions and just to check in. She was so lovely and such a great help when we needed to make a quick adjustment to our pickup time while hiking the Amalfi Coast.
The trip was a wonderful balance of relaxing and touring. We truly enjoyed getting to know all of the wonderful drivers and tour guides! Everyone was so knowledgable and friendly. We really, really appreciated the relationships that Ciao Andiamo has with family run businesses and independent tour operators. Some highlights of our trip included snorkeling through grottos in Ischia, staying in a 13th century village at an absolutely incredible spa hotel in Umbria, enjoying a private wine tasting at a family run vineyard in the Chianti region, and a private boat tour of Lake Como. Our boat driver even made a restaurant suggestion and called from the boat to make a lunch reservation for us!
I really can’t say enough about Ciao Andiamo. There are so many companies to choose from when booking a trip to Italy and it can be overwhelming to decide which one to use. Personally, I had a busy year leading up to our wedding and didn’t feel that I’d have the time to plan all of the details of a big trip like this… I also don’t have the personal relationships on the ground! But we really didn’t want a cookie cutter honeymoon. Ciao Andiamo fit the bill and delivered in a huge way and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend them and will absolutely be booking another trip with them very soon!

Our youngest daughter booked her destination wedding for late May in Sorrento. The wedding week was booked independently and included Pompei, Vesuvius, Capri & the Amalfi coast, as well as the delightful charms of Sorrento itself.
We asked Ciao Andiamo to create a custom itinerary for our immediate family to fill two additional weeks. (Once you’ve paid for international airfare, you may as well see what else there is to see.) Together with Nicole, we designed a wonderful adventure which included Rome, Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, a winery near Siena, Verona, Lake Garda & Venice.
We hired private walking tours in most cities while our private tour drivers provided guidance for enjoying the countryside and smaller villages. Our tour guides & drivers were all local experts in their city/region & it’s history & attractions. All were truly encyclopedic in the knowledge they were able to share with us so that we might fully appreciate what we were seeing/experiencing. Kudos to Ciao Andiamo for curating such a uniformly excellent selection of tour guides/drivers.
As our plans evolved during the course of the vacation, Christiana & the Ciao Andiamo support staff worked promptly to update transportation, hotel & tour reservations. The remainder of our updated itinerary went just as smoothly as the original part. It is comforting to know that Ciao Andiamo is available & ready to provide assistance for whatever you may encounter along the way.

My husband and I can’t say enough great things about Ciao Andiamo!! We started planning our honeymoon a little over a year ago, and throughout the entire planning process they made it seamless. Our travel coordinator, Sean, was great with his recommendations, quick to answer our questions, and overall just the best! Our itinerary couldn’t have been more perfect. When it came time for our honeymoon, we didn’t have the best luck with airfare to (and sadly from) Italy. Cristiana, co-owner and chief Italy officer, was incredibly responsive and accommodating with rescheduling our itinerary and making things work upon our arrival despite our flights being canceled/delayed and us not being able to arrive the day we initially planned. Our time in Italy was more than fantastic, and each place was uniquely special. All of the drivers were on time, professional, and pleasant. The tour guides were phenomenal! All of them were so passionate and knowledgeable, and their presence truly enhanced our experience each time. We have fallen in love with Italy and the culture, and we will definitely return and use Ciao Andiamo again!

My wife and I used Ciao Andiamo to book a trip to Italy to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary (two years delayed due to Covid) and I am so glad we did. They were so helpful and accommodating. We were able to customize our trip as far as where we went, how long we stayed, where we stayed and what activities we wanted to experience. After that they took care of everything. All the hotels they suggested, all the guides and drivers they hired and all the experiences exceeded our already high expectations. They took care of everything, even booking train tickets. It was as close to a stress free vacation as you can have. I highly recommend Ciao Andiamo and if we ever are fortunate enough to travel to Italy again we will definitely use their services.

Our trip to Italy was fabulous thanks to Ciao Andiamo and Max Brunelli! Everything went as planned and we saw parts of this beautiful area that we would not have seen on our own. Max was an amazing guide who took us to the best places for wine, a cooking class, truffle hunting, shopping, food and more. His English is great, he pointed out all the things we wanted to see and doesn’t take you to the touristy spots - unless that’s what you want. He also acted as our photographer so we didn’t have to remember to take pictures - we could just enjoy the experience! He was endlessly patient with us as our group constantly asked questions about upcoming activities. His patient reply was always…just to recap and would tell us one more time, Highly recommend booking with them!

I hardly know where to begin! I said I'd like to see some of Sicily this year and we were off to the races! We were planning 3 weeks in Italy. Since I had never been to Sicily, I thought spending the first week there would be a good start. I was asked if I had a preferred area of Sicily as it is very large to see in one short visit. I chose the Mt Etna / Catania region. Then I left it to Ciao Andiamo to plan the rest! And what a trip they planned! From the moment we stepped off the airplane to the overnight ferry to Palermo, guided city tours complete with the local "street foods", Mt Etna tour, a winery on the side of the mountain, Greek ruins in Siracusa and on! Max Brunelli is the penultimate tour leader and driver, not to mention knows the most wonderful restaurants in every town, city and village. Every local guide shared their knowledge and passion for their cities and history. Agata in Catania made me want to live there and Carlo in Siracusa had such passion and knowledge of the ruins we visited telling us that he actually grew up within walking distance of these amazing sites.
I know some will want to specify specific plans and destinations, I prefer the resident locals to make the decisions as I want to see and feel the "real" Italy. Max, Cristiana and the entire team work tirelessly to provide a truly unbelievable experience.
Our trip included the usual travel complications including; baggage delay, a lost passport, a planned guide who got Covid and another guide whose special mountain vehicle had a mechanical problem. All were handled easily and, in fact, we never even knew about the guide changes and adjustments until after our trip! The local team simply made the necessary adjustments.
If you want a trip planned just for you... Ciao Andiamo is awesome!

thanks to you we were able to start our first adventure on US soil, more than 20 years ago now.
You and "il Capitano" are family members and a wonderful aunt & uncle for our son.
We are working hard to plan a family reunion in Oregon sooner than later.
Sicily was just the "aperitivo" and I cannot wait to show you all the other regions of my country.

This trip in April 2022 was my 4th time doing a trip in Italy with Max (Ciao Andiamo). This year, we were exploring Veneto & Emilia Romagna regions and my week w/ Max was absolutely amazing. I know when I am w. Max, I do not have to worry about anything because he is always on top of everything and making sure everything is going well. My favorite part is when he orders food (family style) for the table because you can always trust Max with food in Italy. If you’re or you know anyone thinking about planning a trip to Italy- I highly recommend doing a private tour through Max (Ciao Andiamo) because nothing can beat this kind of experience you get to have w a true local like Max. I normally travel a lot on my own but I always look forward to join a trip that’s hosted by Max because I know its a (guaranteed) relaxing and fun trip!! I also want to point out that I call him “The Max” because he is genuine, fun, and flexible. Thank you Max for all you have done this past trip, I will be going back soon with a group of friends so they could enjoy Italy as much as I did! And here are some photos I took from this trip. This was truly the most incredible trip my husband and I have taken in our whole lives and that's all thanks to Ciao Andiamo. We would have never experienced all of the hidden gems of Italy without their incredibly detailed guidance and itinerary planning. Not to mention the meticulous work of coordinating all of the private drivers, hotels, tour guide reservations, excursions, train tickets, etc. that they took from our hands. Italy is magical as is, but with Ciao Andiamo planning your trip you will see the most authentic beautiful version of Italy possible. I can't thank Sean enough for helping us plan the most perfect trip over multiple years of having to reschedule, or Cristiana who helped us with every little thing while we were on the ground in Italy (including getting us a last-minute private driver to take us 45 minutes away!) I could go on forever with how incredible this experience was but let me just say that if you want to do it right you absolutely must let Ciao Andiamo plan your trip. We're already thinking about the next Italian adventure we will book with this team! Grazie mille Ciao Andiamo!!

Does Caio andiamo offer tours to Umbria 5 days or more?

Our experience with Ciao Andiamo was very similar to the previous post response. There were only 6 travelers in our tour group (including ourselves) for our first week touring the Amalfi coast. It was an amazing experience from beginning to end.
Before booking with Ciao Andiamo, we spoke with them about creating a custom 2nd week with an itinerary just for us because we wanted to extend our visit to see Florence, Tuscany and Lake Como. They took care of all of the arrangements for us - hotel reservations, private winery tour in Tuscany, walking tour of Florence, train tickets and a driver to take us to our hotel in Como and to the Milan airport to head home at the end of our fantastic journey. In addition, they arranged for us to have our own boat tour of the lake and an enchanting luncheon afterward! I would highly recommend calling them to see what they would map out for you in Umbria. Since one of the co-founders is actually from the region, I am certain he could create an unforgettable itinerary for you!
