The mosaics together with clever projections of artists recreation of the house and its rooms really are worth a visit. Combine with a walk along the Roman aqueduct to get a good sense of Roman life in ancient Spello

We came for an afternoon visit having spent some time looking round Spello. The mosaics are very beautiful and well preserved, and the museum has interesting multimedia exhibits about the villa and Roman life as well as hands on mosaics designs. We learned a lot...More

Third time visiting, purchased 2-week Umbrian Museo ticket for 11Euros that allowed access to numerous venues throughout Umbria. Fascinating serendipitous excavation find, interactive with free app. Multimedia presentation in comfortable environment.

I went to the Museum after seeing the beautiful floral displays at the Infiorata. Wonderful site, full of information with a multi media room. They actually discovered the roman villa with mosaic floors after preparing construction of a parking lot, only in Italy!

This new site is a more impressive picture of Roman life than the standard fare of bridges, theaters and gates in the region. The Roman designs for communal entertainment and fellowship— for this is what the floors disclose— tell a fresh story with brilliant designs....More

This is a new museum open since a few years ago: it was built in the location where some mosaics of an ancient roman villa were found. It's very nice and interesting to visit even with kids, 1 hour is enough. I recommend to buy...More

The fairly recent discovery of these roman mosaics and more recent opening of the Villa of Mosaics museum represents the cherry on the icing in the context of the well-kept historic centre of Spello. The mosaics are in-situ and about 20 rooms of a Roman...More
