Hormuz island is one the main attractions if you travel to Hormozgan province in Iran. I absolutely loved the view and the harmony of colors. I would 100% recommend to visit 'Dareye Mojasameh ha' or The valley of statues in the early morning. You'll be rewarded with the peaceful silence with the sound of waves coming and going.

Land of colorful soils
Jan 2020
-Highlight: Nature
-Worth a visit?? Absolutely yes.
-Entrance fee: free
-Need a tour guide: OF COURSE YES. Because no one can speak English in this remote island
-Time of visit: during the daytime
-Recommended length of visit: full day
-Photogenic views: Certainly. Here is the photographers' paradise.
-Located in a touristic area? No
-Public transport accessibility? No. The easiest way to reach Hormoz is taking passenger ships from Bandar Abbas or Qeshm Island.
-Close attraction: Hormoz statue valley, Elahe Namak, soil carpet, silver and red beach.

Due to its quite sandy beaches and colorful mountains, Hormoz Island attracts every tourist attention. The island possesses a natural wildlife and you can have a close encounter with species of birds, deer, rabbits and other living creatures. The inhabitants of the island are very kind and hospitable people, and it is enjoyable to make small talk with them. Hormoz Island is a hidden tourist attraction and you have to be careful to find its sights. On the same route from Qeshm to Hormoz, mountains appear in yellow, white and red, and the closer you get to the island, the wider the range of these colors, Where you can feel a variety of up to 25 to 100 different colors.

Amazing Red Sand Beach Island
Jan 2020
Hormuz island is one of the most wonderful natural sites of Iran. Its colorful landscapes, with its red sand beach, are simply uniques.

The best way to visit the island is to rent a bike. There's one main road which circles around the island and allows you to discover all the attractions of the island. But be aware that it requires a good physical conditions and it's not always an easy ride due to the uphill slopes. Even by taking your time, you can visit the island like this on a day. It's also possible to rent a motorcycle or have a driver with a rickshaw.

You can choose to spend the night on the island, as there are some guesthouses. It's not necessary though. One of the best way to visit the island is when leaving Qeshm. There's a ferry leaving Qeshm for Hormuz early in the morning (around 7AM) and later, a ferry from Hormuz to Bandar Abbas (the last ferry is around 7PM and can be quite crowded), from where you can easily take a bus or a flight for anywhere in Iran.

Beautiful
May 2019
Hormuz is magnificent I don't wanna deny the fact that I love it but recently, due to the mismanagement and over-tourism, it has got really dirty and full of trash in the island.

I hope they figure a solution for it.

Amazing experience
Feb 2020 • Couples
If you are looking for a new and refreshing experience in your travel to Bandar abas or Qeshm island, dont hesitate to visit Hormoz.
The island has fantastic views of persian gulf and unique texture of soil and mountains. There is a road aroud the island which can give you an almost 360 degree view of the island. There are different places you can visit; but the most fabulous ones are silver beach where the sands are shining and the sea is red (due to red soil in the area) and a valey and unique mountain which gives you a very good view of strait of hormoz.
Mostly people rent a motorbike or car with a driver who take them round the island; but we rent a bike and ride round the island. It was a very thrilling experience; although in the middle of the way one of the bikes got a problem; after 2 hours waiting for the backup team and although it was not our fault they charged us a huge amount of money which I beleive was unfair.
Other possible activities includes swimming, hiking or camping in the island.

unique nature
Nov 2019
I discovered Hormuz island as the unique part of Persian Gulf; it is unique for its kind and hospitable people, red soil, beautiful beaches, and amazing mountains.
It is recommended to visit this magic island from November to March, since in other months it will be really hot and humid.
Also, Highly recommended for nature lovers.
