What a Surprising Find at Natanz
Mar 2019 • Couples
We only found this remarkable display by chance and it became a memorable visit during our stay in Iran. The creator, Mehdi Tavasolian, is one Iranian who personifies his country...warm, friendly, humble, generous. He lovingly shares his creations with visitors and we were just so lucky to experience his art. Delicately made models of his village and its former artisan bazaar using recycled materials. What a pleasure to meet this man and have him tells us about his creations.

I spend just one night (unfortunately) in this traditional house. It was so nice, clean, and well-decorate house.I will select it in next travel and suggest it to you strongly. The price was also fair. You can have access to Jame mosque in 2-3 minutes by magical alleys...

Mehdi Tavasolian Miniature World : an Amazing Collection
May 2016 • Couples
This was a very unexpected discovery. We were on our way to Kashan after visiting Esfahan. Our guide/driver stopped in Natanz to visit the Friday Mosque. We then decided to walk around before heading to our destination. We visited an old ceramic shop and were walking back to the car when we saw a sign 'Natanz Old Bazaar'. It looked like a shop from the outside. An old bicycle with a decorated saddle bag stood in front of the door. We stopped to admire it and decided to have a look inside. We were warmly greeted by a man and discovered a small museum. There were about 25 miniature displays depicting scenes of Persian life : different shops, inside of houses, workshops even a school complete with students and teachers. We had never seen anything like this. We were curious about how some of the pieces very made. The artist, Mehdi Tavasolian, explained every detail with great modesty. We soon learned that he did not take donations and was only interested in sharing his culture with travelers! This was a free display. He wasn't selling anything or charging admission price. We were very surprised by his generosity. We highly recommend other visitors to stop and look into this unique window of Persian culture. Thank you, Mehdi!
