The place was said to be very famous that you can step into the see on a sand bank quite deep.
It is not so spectacular than famous locally

It is about 30 km away from Marmaris center and takes about 30,40 minutes. There is a long way about 660 metres in the sea and you can walk on it. The water is not above your knees. It is a long way and you will get tired. You had better use sea shoes or slippers other wise you may hurt your feet. There is a nice market so you can have drinks, ice cream or some food. The place is free but if you want deck chairs and umbrella you should pay 50 liras for two people. Go and see the miracle of nature.

The beach is lovely and being able to walk out so far in to the water is great BUT! The amount of cigarette buts on the beach is absolutely disgusting. The beach is absolutely full of them LITTERALLY! Shame on you lazy People, there are bins and cigarette bins everywhere but you could not be bothered to walk 5 meters to them.

This is the worst places to visit in the area of Marmaris. The natural sandbank of Kizkumu in Orhaniye ist destroyed by the thousends of visitors comming there every day!!!
More then 100 jeeps, 7 daily tour boates mooring here, noisy jetskis, parking problems, trafic problems, the place is dirty, rubbishe everywhere etc. etc. etc.
The villigares are fed up whith it but nobudy is chanching anything !!
Please dont go there!!!

Amazing experience. I wish I had known that you can also swim there so I would have taken extra clothes. TAKE SHOES FOR THE WATER. You will be walking on the rocks and you cant do it without proper shoes.
We arrived there by car. There is no entrance fee. However, the bar there is way too expensive and they also charge for the toilet but there is no cleaning service.
Must go and see for sure!!!

Many name for this beach, Girls Sand Beach or Jesus Beach. Such a nice and crowded where you can swim, ride a camel/pony, touch parrot, walk in a long lane of sand through the water, eat, drink and much more.
Pleasant visit

Turn the bend going down the hill into Orhaniye and suddenly in front of you are a group of people walking on water !! or so it seems. We had to stop and investigate.
There is a very long sandspit just under the surface which is wide and solid enough to walk on and so everyone does - just like children, all of us laughing and talking. So simple but still really enjoyable. NB It is quite gritty so wear jellies if you have them.

Liked this place. View is fantastic. And very unusual thing that one can walk across the sea because the depth is just about 50-60 cm max.
The only thing I couldn't understand is why people are really walking all these 500-600m through the water from one side of the beach to another. First when I saw this, I thought it's some religious thing happening. :)))

Kızkumu'na Marmaris merkezden hareket eden Orhaniye dolmuşları ile ulaşmanız mümkündür. Eğer özel aracınız ile Kızkumu'na ulaşmak isterseniz Marmaris - Datça karayolunun 29. kilometresinde, "Hisarönü-Orhaniye-Selimiye" sapağından girip yaklaşık 5 km ilerlediğinizde Orhaniye Kızkumu'na ulaşabilirsiniz.

Hak ettiği değeri almamış bir yer.Otopark biraz sorun ama muhakkak yer buluyorsunuz.biraz yürürsünüz.,öğle ve akşamüstü çok kalabalık.bol miktarda tesis mevcut güneşlenip denize girebilirsiniz.Deniz bira taşlı ama manzara şahane..

Hello Deb!
Welcome to Orhaniye. It is a lovely and natural places where is far from crowded life of Marmaris downtown, and easy location to reach Marmaris for night life or restaurant. However transportation is not easy at night. You have public mini bus and timing you can learn when you reach. Taxi is also available. You can contact with Akbaş Pansiyon (Guest House), as I remember the owner have taxi service any time too.
About eating places, you will see many restaurant for dinner along sea line. They are all good for dinner services but as per my experience you may not be satisfied during day snacks or lunch on beach restaurants.
Enjoy your trip!
