Fantastic tour. We were originally going to do a Lagoon tour up in the NE part of the island near Farjado, but they were all sold out, didn't have options for grandma (who didn't want to kayak), and didn't have options for our 5yo (some were 6+, others were 10+). La Parguera was a little out of our way on our original itinerary, but we didn't want to miss out of the experience, so we adjusted our plans to make it work.

Captain Mendoza was great. This tour exceeded expectations, and everyone had a wonderful experience. My 5yo got to help steer the boat most of the way to the bay. He was allowed to kayak with me. Grandma got to ride and stay on the boat without kayaking. And then the best part (I thought) was that when you're done kayaking, you head back to the boat, return the kayak, and then you can hop into the water and swim among the bioluminescent algae! (You can't do this in the lagoon because it's a more enclosed/sensitive ecosystem, probably with a lot more human traffic as well; but down south it's in the open ocean.) My wife chose to only kayak without swimming... overall, this was great with a family because we had *options* and the crew is super-flexible.

My 11yo rated this "15 and a half stars", and my 9yo was similarly enthralled. Definitely recommend the side trip if you're anywhere remotely nearby.

The gentlemen at Parguera Water Sports were skilled, thoughtful, and kind. They treated every passenger with respect and even gave us all extra time to put on the bio bay to make up for lost time that they had no control over. The views are once in a life time and the guides will make you laugh and feel safe the entire way. Could not recommend highly enough.

This tour was amazing. Hands down my favorite thing I did in Puerto Rico. Captain Mendoza was gracious and funny and explained the science behind the bioluminescence, which was super interesting. We were able to kayak and swim where we wanted and for as long as we wanted. The bioluminescence in the water was breathtakingly beautiful. It rained on us, but that only made the lights more amazing, and I never felt scared or unsafe. I would highly recommend anyone traveling to Rincon to go on this tour.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because their service starting with reservations handled by Sofia and the crew who gave the tour (Captain Javi and Alan) were excellent.
I booked the tour just a week in advance for our group (around 11 of us including kids) and they were able to squeeze us in. Sofia was very clear in communication and was honest. Even though the call is not answered right away she would always respond via text and voice.
Also, on the day of the tour 4 of us could not make it due to illness and we called them and informed, they understood the situation and gave full refund which was very nice.

Regarding the tour, it was amazing and unforgettable experience.
1) We reached there 10 minutes late but Captain Javi and Alan waited for us patiently and did not deduct any time, they gave us the full 2 hours.
2) We had folks in our group who were first time kayakers and also hesitant to kayak but captain Javi made them comfortable which helped them motivate to kayak.
3) We got lucky with perfect weather, so the experience in the bay was amazing, kayaking and swimming (total an hour) was unforgettable.
4) Captain Javi explained the science behind the bioluminescence and history of the region.

All in all it is not to miss experience and I highly recommend Parguera Water Sports because of their service.

We had the pleasure of participating in another “island water splash” tour with Captain Mendoza, once in April 2019 and now again in January, 2020. This activity consists of a day trip (10:30-2:30) to Cayo Enrique with kayaks, snorkeling equipment, and inflatable “sling shot” tables to keep your cooler and personal items dry. It was an amazing time and could not be a better way to end our week long trip. Capitan Mendoza is incredibly hospitable and accommodating, I reached out by phone at about 7:30 pm the night before and he quickly replied. He’s great with the kids and always lets the little ones “Captain” the short boat road (see picture with the captain below!) He will pick you up from the Cayo at your convenience and provides awesome local recommendations. Bring your water shoes and enjoy your time in what feels like your own personal paradise!

Our group of 4 went on the 6:30 pm tour last night and it was aaaahhhhmazing! We learned about bioluminescence and what makes the conditions that make Parguera Bay one of only 4 places in the world to see this phenomenon. The larger group that had reserved the tour were broken up into smaller boats. The boat that took us to the bay carried just 6 people The kayaking and swimming was magical! As soon as my paddle hit the water- it lit up like a mirror of the twinkling stars above. It helped that the moon was a mere sliver. The water and air were warm. Every breast stroke was a sheer amazement! We had 1 1/2 hours to revel in this natural wonder.

We booked months in advance and it started raining before the tour was scheduled to start. The group stood around and waited because they apparently were hoping it would stop. The communication wasn't great at this time and one boat was running so there were a lot of fumes we were breathing. However, it was nice of them to wait to head out as the rain did stop and swimming in the luminescent water is amazing. They did pull kayaks but only a couple got used as swimming was so much better. They also served us fresh pineapple in the water.

Great trip to bio bay. Captain Mendoza was very knowledgeable, although a bit too talkative about his god. Religion, to me, is a private issue and it annoys me to hear the proselytizing. But the trip and the care for our safety was greatly appreciated. Our group of 8 included 6 adults, one infant and one 3 year old. And seeing the beautiful sparkling water, breathtaking. Picture of Captain Mendoza and first mate Erwin. Thanks

This experience is going down as one of the best life experiences I’ve ever had. We did the bio luminescence bay on the 9 PM trip, we swam. I don’t know if I have all the words to accurately describe what an experience it was. My husband and 21 year old daughter said the same the same thing The captain and his assistant were amazing, funny and informative while ensuring all the necessary safety precautions were adhered to by the participants. This boarding place is a little bit hard to find. I would suggest that you arrive an hour or more in advance park find the place so that you are ready to board when the time allotted to depart arrives. Thank you to the staff at Parguara Water Sports! Your amazing!

Had an amazing time! We went on the longest day of the year summer solstice and they did not rush us. They encouraged us to relax and enjoy until it was dark enough to experience the bioluminescence in it’s full beauty. The best part was they just purchased a pontoon with a cover over the front so you could swim in between the pontoons and really get the full affect. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff loved them!
