When six generations follow the same passion to produce ouzo, they must be doing something right! A nice private tour of all the facilities was given to us and at the end we had the chance to try some ouzo too!

The museum is quite small and, really, it's more like a factory tour than a museum though no less interesting for that. With your very own guide you get to explore the history of the factory and the process of making ouzo. At the end...More

Good place to stop, very interesting explanation of the process but much more importantly an insight into the distillation and from there to the all important tasting procedure. Much more than a breakdown of the art than an introduction to the drinking process which I’ve...More

Worth to visit the museum. It is free. Tour the distellery downstairs. Meet Yannis and learn the hints of making an uzo and how to drink it without getting drunk. Buy three or four bottles of blue Barbayannis -as I did- while leaving the premises.

If your out at Plomari you must take time to drop in, the Museum is on the main road out of Plomari. Free entrance and includes tour of the factory and a tasting opportunity. If you don't know about ouzo this place is a must.

We had a lovely trip to the ouzo museum today. The lady on the main desk showed us around the old equipment and explained how ouzo was produced in the olden days. We were then taken downstairs where we viewed the modern day production line....More
