We visited Parkdean Pendine Sands 16May 2022
Staying in a Tenby 2 Bedroom Lodge

The Site
On arrival we found the site to be maintained to a high standard, grass areas were trimmed and of good appearance..

The lodge
The Site
This is maintained to a hight standard, very clean and grass area’s trimmed and well looked after by the grounds staff.

Accommodation
We had a Tenby Lodge, this was excellent in every respect, there is decking running to to side and front of the lodge which included a patio table and chairs which was well maintained. The lodge appears to be full South facing, giving full sun throughout the day, so great to sit out and enjoy a
good bottle of bubbly in the warmth of the sun. The interior
On arrival and entry it was spotlessly clean, in excellent condition taking into account the lodge
was not brand new.
It contained 2 settees, table and chairs, double oven/ hobs, fridge, freezer, and even a dishwasher lol (not me) plus all utensils needed.
Bedroom 1 large double bed huge amount of wardrobe/s space with multiple cabinets/draws.
Nice size en-suite bathroom with shower heated towel rail
Bedroom 2 twin beds and separate toilet with shower next to it. Again with nice wardrobe and ample cupboard and draw space.

Amenities
Though mid April and early in the season, there was plenty going on for all ages to enjoy.
Security, entertainments and Bar staff were extremely polite very helpful with nothing too much trouble to ensure an enjoyable and safe
stay.
There were 2 local pubs in close proximity to where we were, but obviously this would depend on where you were actually sited, 2 Fish and chip shops, cafe, shops etc all reasonably priced.

The Staff
As previously mentioned, were amazing, nothing to much trouble. This is based on my own personal experience with interaction with them.

In closing a big thank you to the cleaner Lodge 424 for her/his honesty. On arrival home from our holiday I found I had mislaid my iPad, a call to Parkdean Pendine revealed I had left it there and the cleaner had handed it in to reception found property.

A very special thanks now, to Polly who arranged to wrap, pack and label it for return to me by a courier I had provided. She was amazing with constant updates until delivered to my Home address.

All in all a great time and experience at Pendine Sands. So, a big thank you.

Privately rented a caravan as Parkdean prices were extremely high. Had a great caravan, kitchen with 5 ring burner, cooker, dishwasher & fridge freezer, all built in. Comfortable accommodation with two outside decking areas as well as a lawn. The site is very quiet & mainly flat for anybody with mobility issues however it is very spread out. We bought entertainment passes which were £9.99 per adult, £6.99 per child, only went to the entertainment a few times as were out & about, the usual type of entertainment - bingo, quizes, music act. Drinks were quite expensive, lager was £1 a pint cheaper in the pubs in Pendine village. Had a lovely meal at the Lotus Chinese overlooking the sea- reasonably priced too. Also "The Chippy" was really good however it had very limited opening times & only accepted cash so had to use the cashpoint in the supermarket next door which charged £1.99! We used Pendine Sands as a base & it was perfect for us. Heatherton is well worth a visit as it Manor Wildlife Park - feeding the wallabies was one of the highlights

Really enjoyed our holiday here, was sad to come home.
Childrens entertainment was excellent, Lara, Scott and Emily really went the extra mile to entertain the children.
Security did an excellent job in unusual circumstances to keep everyone covid safe even when people were moaning about having to wait to get in the clubhouse when it was at capacity.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite.
The only things I can moan about is we were placed on Dukes Meadow which is right out of the way to the entertainment. WiFi and phone coverage aren't great either, but even with all that I would recommend Pendine Sands xx

We visited the 2nd weekend of September. Our girls were so excited to finally be able to go swimming after so long but it turned out to be an absolute disaster.
Despite there being a rule that children must be with an adult there was a group of 3 children (all looked under 10) without an adult. The children were fully clothed running and fighting around the side of the pool. The children started going into the storage areas, grabbing buckets and throwing buckets of water from the pool at each other. The also ran to the toliet area, filled up buckets of cold water and threw them at peers in the pool who were also without an adult. The children were also swearing very loudly at each other. This was all in front of young children. The children began opening the fire doors around the pool, to fight outside, leaving them open despite it being the 7pm session and cold outside. One young boy then entered the pool with his trousers and shoes on and spent the rest of the session swimming in the pool with his trousers and shoes still on! This made an absolute mockary of the covid guidelines they had, and is extremely unhygienic. The lifeguard on duty never once tried to remove them from the pool area, clearly knew them and at some points even seemed to encourage them.
We ended up leaving a day early so we could take our daughters to a pool more suitable.
On hearing our complaint we were offered £30 off our next holiday, which is pretty insulting really. We definitely won't be holidaying there ever again!
It's such a shame because the location is beautiful but it's really not family friendly. We'd been unable to use the park earlier in the day due to similar behaviour.
We are gutted to have left our first ever negative review but we'd hate for any other family to waste precious time like we have.

Tried to stop with a motorhome but the 2 car parks don't have large bays. One car park is tiny and the main one has 2 largish bays but someone had parked a car so they were both unusable. Parked across other bays as it was empty. The beach was closed because its MOD property except a hundred yard section. Better, easier to reach beaches in Tenby. The speed museum closed and hasn't reopened but when it does the car parking will be impossible

I just come back from a long weekend away in Pendine sands we stayed in number 37 Paddocks, this was a Sun Newspaper holiday. My parents had another caravan which was 79 Dukes Meadow (their caravan was more modern and it was further away from the beach/show bar but both Caravans absolutely fine and clean). Location of the park is great literally a 5 (10 max) min walk to the beach, the beach is stunning, clean and not to deep. My daughter loved the sea and she enjoyed playing with her body board in the water. In terms of location and quality of the beach a solid 9 out of 10. There are a couple of bars/restaurants by the beach, reasonably priced and with some great views. It looks like they are building more amenties by the beach which is great. Tenby is 16 miles away and Saundersfoot 13 miles away we visited both during our stay, these are great places to visit and also have lovely beaches both have more going on then Pendine.
I hadn't managed to book the swim sessions (onsite) in advance (make sure you do this 2 weeks before your visit) the lifeguard was great and she accomodated us at last min when people that had booked didn't turn up. Both of my children enjoyed the 2 x swim sessions that we managed to get into even though it wasn't booked!
Just some areas for improvement:
1. The main bins need changing more frequently they were over full the whole time we were there.
2. The entertainment- it wasn't the best, could be down to covid restrictions but it was a bit dull. The show bar and arcade area is also small compared to other parks we have been to.
Overall a great weekend away and I would go back.

went in april had the joy of free parking as maching was not working maybe they charge after 1st may ??
long sandy beach which is dog friendly all year , few shops and pubs and chip shop although £9.60 for fish and chips is i think a bit steep.
the beach is tidal so check times for the most sand.
although this place has a large amount of caravan parks the beach is that big its not crouded.

The village is mainly the Parkdean caravan site and associated facilities. There is a pub(The Springwell),a few beachside eateries and a couple of mini markets and fish and chip shops. There is building work to improve car parking and the Museum of Speed seems to be closed. The major attraction is the huge beach. It's a lovely sandy one that stretches as far as the eye can see and if the tide is out a long way down to the sea! It's a beautiful place to be on a fine day.

Beautiful stretch of coast with historical connotations. Sheame the local council have allowed monstrous developments near the slipway/entrance. One is covered with white plastic sheeting and is very tall. Terrible eyesore and has been untouched since over a year. Shame.

My wife and I recently visited Pendine Sands just for a day trip , the beach is huge and clean. There is a new museum being built which will look back on the speed records set on the beach. Not much in the town itself but worth a visit.
