Booked ahead, friendly welcome, half an hour indoor arena beginners lesson followed by half and hour trek in local countryside. Patient, encouraging staff who clearly enjoyed their jobs and cared about the horses and riders. Indoor viewing area / cafe for those not riding and/or for refuelling before / afterwards!

Nice trip out up and down the leafy hills, all kit provided by very friendly people. My teenage daughter hadn't been riding for some time so we opted for a walk. Everything great, but horses did seem to be on automatic pilot on a walk, which was fine for her, I should have done something more challenging. Well kept stables,... More

As part of a weekend away with family and friends, five of us booked a one hour hack on Saturday afternoon. We'd all done a little bit of riding in the dim and distant past but were pretty much starting from square one again. The people in reception were very welcoming and we were quickly allocated suitable helmets and boots... More

Did a one-and-a-half hour ride on Bonnie, the giant Clydesdale who stands at 17 hh. This was the first time I rode a horse this tall. I didn't realize how tall he really was until I mounted him. Felt like I could dunk a basketball from where I sat on his back!!!! He offered a very smooth ride.... a huge... More

My daughter (9) and I went for an hour trek. I hadn't been on a horse for 20 years and was pretty nervous. I needn't have been. The staff were all wonderfully welcoming and easily put our nerves at bay. The horses were gorgeous - well trained and friendly and a pleasure to ride. The time flew by and I... More

This is a lovely place. My son & daughter, 6 & 8, had a phobia of nearly anything that moved, until they came here that is. They stroked the lovely farm dogs that lie outside the main door. They then got all the support & reassurance needed to enable them to ride two beautiful horses, Tally & Lenny. They both... More

Thank you for your kind words. It is much appreciated. It was lovely to watch the transformation of children not wanting to come across the car park to pass the dogs to the next day then both running across the car park to find the dogs the fuss them and then not wanting to leave them! See you next year! More

My daughter and her friend had a hour trek with one of the instructors, my daughter is somewhat nervous due to previous falls. The instructor and staff were extremely understanding of this and went at her pace. The girls went on a trek (no leader) and they came having thoroughly enjoyed it, my daughters confidence was helped by only doing... More

I took a chance and booked two beach rides within a couple of days based on other reviews. I wasn't disappointed. On arrival saw an aged horse grazing happily on the lawn (a past lead horse in his long retirement) - lovely :) I was introduced to my horse a delightful Irish cob and fully briefed on the way to... I went Thursday 27th May for a 2 hour trek with Becki and had the best time, I rode Carrie and had a lovely safe and fun ride with some cantering and great chats. I can't recommend them enough! I hope to visit again, Jenny X
