You need a guide to explain all parts of Lubumbashi Museum : permanent exposition on copper process and impact, archeological findings, local cultures. Very interesting.

There are some fascinating exhibits in this museum with one gallery in particular being attractive and accessible without a guide. However most of the rooms house interesting exhibits but the cases filled with masks and tribal dresses do not speak to the casual visitor as there are no labels, explanations or guides. A missed opportunity and a pity.

Today, I have tried to go at 14:30, but they said it's already closed. The guides had left. I think the guides arrive at around 11:00 and leave at 13:00. And of course they have a lunch break! It's really difficult to visit, for that simple reason.
