Worth a visit if in Joure. Museum gives an impression of how tea and coffee became favorite drinks in the Netherlands. There is also an old printing press which is still in working order.

Be sure to ask the staff about who did all of the work on the coffee and tobacco plantations. . . . .

This museum advertises itself as a museum that shows the history of DE. However, except for one machine from DE nothing has to do with this coffee and tea business. Furthermore, the museum is quite small, and doesn't have a lot on exhibition. Don't expect much of the old-fashioned shop, if you would like to buy old school sweets visit... More
