this is the last stop of the cruise. the beach is very basic and natural, almost no facilities on the beach, unless some people who try to sell atv self driving rides. interesting cross of the river and the ocean. once this is the north coast of brazil could be good spot for sunset and sunrise.

Cabure's beach can be part of a tour that is performed starting from Barreirinhas in boats called voadeiras "flying boats" and runs along the Rio Preguiça ( something like Laziness River ). The tour is beautiful and has two more stops, Mandacaru and Vassouras. There is a restaurant for lunch. From there you walk over the dunes and arrives at Cabure Beach.

This place is beautiful for nature lovers, there is a point where Rio Preguiças and the sea cross. Difficult to get there, but amazingly beautiful.

Out of al the tours we did in Lencois this was by far the worst. Compared to the beautiful lagoons in the national park the beach at the final destination is very underwhelming - the ocean water is brown and murky and not inviting although the water is lukewarm and good for a quick plunge. The infrastructure around the beach is extremely run down and there is rubbish everywhere. The food at the beach restaurants is overpriced when compared to other places in the area. The noise caused by the ever-present quadbikes ruin whatever serenity there might be otherwise. The 2 stops on the way include a visit to a lagoon, again filled with brown murky water and there is a little shop with native monkeys next door which is overcrowded and, in spite of signage everywhere, ignorant tourists feed the animals - distasteful and somewhat distressing to watch. The second stop at the lighthouse provides some decent views if you brave the crowds and the heat to walk up countless stairs, The little village at the foot of the lighthouse is again extremely polluted with rubbish and not inviting at all. I would avoid this trip in favor of the national park tours which are much more rewarding.

Although sometimes there's no electricity, you definitely won't mind about that. Just walk around, meet interesting people, go to different places. Lençóis Maranhenses is a treasure for those who like very simple things in the middle of a fantastic beautiful place. I love there and I'll go back for sure!

That title sums up pretty much everything! they have a generator in the four B&B on this beach, which are turned off at 10 in the evening! we rented a quadricycle as soon as we arrived and rode for one hour by the sea...deserted beach, eccentric landscape. In the afternoon, we took a boat up the river to see the sunset and guaras flying over our heads on the way to sleep, came back and had dinner at the B&B. A very pleasant evening....like in the old days, chatting.

We did the trip for 90 Reais (3 locations stop) each. We liked the location. But the time for to short at this location. To crowdy and very dirty.

The trip to Cabure beach, passing through Vassouras and Mandacaru, was very peaceful, with beautiful landscapes and also served as a breather for other more emotionally intense trips.

Very distant and exclusive during this period of May.
However, the restaurants are on the river side, and if you want to stay by the open sea, you need to bring water, because it's not that close to fetch it all the time.

The ride is beautiful
Preserved nature, you can bathe in the river or walk a little and go bathing in the sea.
You can rent a quad bike to ride around.
I liked the restaurant where we stopped (I don't remember the name, but it's one that has a deck in front). I didn't think it was expensive, the service for that structure and for the number of people was ok (our boat stopped before we went to Farol de Mandacaru, the waiter came and took the orders), when we arrived our order was answered about 20 minutes later, But I saw several people complaining about the delay. The fried fish was delicious (I think it was very good because the fish was fresh).
The place is picturesque. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful and worth it for anyone who wants to discover and enjoy a trip like this.
