Great sunny day views up 200+ stairs!

My 1st visit to this popular spot in Hel was memorable for all the right reasons. On a weekday afternoon, there was no line, reduced admission for retirees and my under 10 year old friend. The steps narrowed and steepened till the last set, but railings on both sides eased the task. The 360 degree view of the water, forest, and beach was spectacular!
Tip: Since it wasn't obvious that ticket staff or materials were available in English, ideally bring along a Polish speaker or Google Translate.

Highest point in the island so it is a must to visit. View from the top is great. The climb is a bit of a workout and staircase gets tight at the top so becomes a bit of a traffic jam with people going up and down. Last flight of stairs is very steep and hence only for those able and we could not take our youngest less than 5 years old. Can get busy but worth the wait.

Not suitable for cloudy or foggy day. The weather must be good enough to assure the best ever view of the unique natural piece of earth. notice: there is no lift!

The lighthouse in Hel is located in a forest with a beautiful surroundings. The 41-meter-high lighthouse in Hel was built in 1942. The previous lighthouse existed from 1826, but it was blown up during the defense of Hel in 1939. The lighthouse in Hel is a tower made of red-brown brick with a gallery under a conical roof. From the lighthouse tower, you can see the Hel Peninsula and even in good weather you can see the Tri-City. The views are great , but a little bit tight at the top. The light bulb can really make an impression. Currently it gives a beam of light visible from 31 km. The lighthouse in Hel is one of the tallest lighthouses in Poland.

Nice place to see

I was there yesterday in the afternoon, nit the queue was huge so i decide to visit it today in the morning. It opens at 9am and I was there round 10, there wasnt a lot of people so I was satisfied with the view and everything.
The entrance is 7zł regular and 5zł for students etc.
The forrests around are amazing.

I have never been in such a grand building, the view from the top is not obscured and it has a funny efect meaning that it does not look that high when looking down but looks way too high when looking up.

Hel is good

Rent a bike and just let yourself get lost around the place. Start with the Lighthouse all the way to the Defense museum - 3 to 5 hours.... totally worth it.

Nice view but because of amount of people Windows were foggy and you could not see much :) but to pay 6pln its ok. Nice walk in the forest around as well.
