Polish only and quite average

The price has gone up - not 5 zlot any more, but 10. You'll still need 5 zlot coins, but there is a exchange machine next to entry gate, paper bills can be easily changed there. We saw in total 4 seals there. I hope the price raise will be reflected in at last some explanations or brochures in English as well.

Excellent place

Wonderful and interesting place. Strongly recommended in offseason when Hel is not so much crowded. I was there with little kids, there was no any troubles to get inside with strollers and baby-equipment. Personnel friendly and helpful as always.

Go see seal feeding
Feb 2020
I suggest going offseason - you will avoid the line, crowd, and limited space. Weekdays are better than weekends. Be sure to have 5 zl in coin - there is a machine that passes you through the gate, no change, sorry!
So as to seal feeding - great experience. Trainers and the stuff entertain the seals, and the seals are showing off :). I had the impression that the level of understanding between the staff and the animals is the same as between human and dogs. The place has educative notes about the seals and sea life (unfortunately only in Polish) so reserve some time to read them - they are very informative.

Charming, old school place
Dec 2019
Nice small place were they rescue and care for sick seals from the Baltic Sea. It has much charm. The exhibition is old school, no computer games or other stuff. You can see the working place of the veterinarians. Seals are swimming in the outdoor pools.

Nice but...
Oct 2019 • Family
This is a very interesting place and the personality of the seals is obvious since moment one. There is plenty of info and sad crazy story about the seal that almost died because ate coins, up to the point death was eminent... only didn't happen because of the amazing people that work in this sanctuary. It was a great trip with kids, who could be close enough but safe (from the seals, and the seals from the people).
Now... The "less good"... The most annoying thing was to enter, entrance fee is only 5zl, but if you don't have 10 or 20zl bank notes the "coin machine" will not give you the change to enter. No staff around, no other solution! The frustration level! No words! Then... even though all around was interesting, not one single word on English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German... nothing unless you are fluent in Polish language. So many tourist around, but seems they aren't important for this sanctuary :-(

Well worth a visit
Sep 2019 • Couples
This place was crowded even in September, but it’s well worth a visit. Not only to see those beautiful creatures but also to learn about them and about what humans can do to protect them. And ticket price is just symbolic.

No information in English
Aug 2019 • Friends
This place is for seals and their rescuing and that's good. However, it was a big disappointment. Few cute seals in the pool, I hope they are those rescued ones and not just some likes in the zoo.
There seems to be good information but all in Polish language, not a word in English. It would have been nice to learn something about them but no.

Quick and cheap
Jul 2018 • Family
So this is not a sea world! This is a kind of sanctuary for Baltic seals where they are taken care of when necessary. So the seals that are there change from time to time. There is no entertainment programme just feeding times with a liittle play. Entrance is around 1EUR (5PLN). During holidays the crowd (with kids) is really big. Nothing spectacular but fun for kids (you are rather close to animals).

Beneficial project, kids enjoy observations
Apr 2019 • Family
The project is meant to save the seals. Recovering seals return later to the sea. The symbolic 5 pln fee is going towards the fund. The place is small. The seals are few and often under water. Kids enjoy observing the seals. Some educational and depressing information in Polish on the walls. Shoot for a 15-minute visit. Avoid peak hours. The interior is not worth waiting for hours to get in.
