The monument is erected right in the city centre so visitors won't miss it. But to get to it you will need a bit of courage to cross the street as the traffic around the place is busy. While the focus of the monument is not really interesting as it looks from distance, this is still worth sometime in your Buon Ma Thuot visit schedule. Some photos taken in the evening may have a surprise result.

The Victory Monument is actually pretty spectacular. It even included in it the famous tank that crashed through the barricades of what is now called Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City. You won't spend much time there but it's very much worth seeing.

I visited Buon Ma Thuot as part of a private tour organized by Nguyen Hoai of Vivu Travel in Ha Noi. The victory monument is a very impressive memorial to the beginning of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign that put an end to the most recent Viet Nam war and unified the country.

The 1975 Victory Statue is prominently in the centre of a roundabout near the city centre. There are a lot of other interesting things to see in Buon Ma Thuot, such as the Ho Chi Minh Park and a museum.

I was there on a Sunday, so the museum was closed. There is a lot of interesting French Colonial architecture to see and Buon Ma Thuot is near some important battle sites from the fighting that took place here in the 20th Century.

Buon Ma Thuot is important militarily because it dominates much of the Central Highlands. This was where the final drive to Sai Gon that re-unified Viet Nam was launched in 1975.

As one of the other reviewers has noted, the roundabout where this monument is located is a little crazy. It's still worth seeing, especially if you are interested in the local history. This is an important monument marking the reunification of Viet Nam after more than a century of foreign occupation and warfare.

We were in Dalat for 1 month expecting to enjoy the town but its been spoiled by a huge number of tour buses and the overwhelming number of tourists. Buon Ma Thout was a very pleasant town and far better. Wide roads and sidewalks, far less traffic, several parks and everything walking distance. Public buses are cheap and easy to ride with bus numbers and destinations posted at stops. All the people we met were so helpful (Dalat people are very unfriendly). Several tourist destinations to visit by pubic bus or moto.

Located in Central and main intersection of city. Construction seems a main entrance welcome to Buôn Ma Thuột.
There is real tank which used in battle field when soliders protected this land in the past.
Behind the tank is high thin construction looks like a bow, it's a native people 's weapon for hunting and protect their villages.
This location must be here for checking.

Monument is on a round-about so be careful getting to it. We walked there at night after eating downtown, on our way back to the hotel.

It's worth a quick look, as there are more pleasantly situated monuments elsewhere in Vietnam.

If you are interested in socialistic architecture this is nice to visit. There are similar monuments around in Dak Lak so there is one on the way to Buon Ho.

There's nothing much to see. It's a usual rounabout depicting war in Vietnam ( the victory in March 1975). At night, you can have sweet dessert in front of the palace next to it. From there, you have a pretty good view to the monument.

the monument is smacked in the middle of a busy intersection. You cannot miss it.

Should you choose to get up close and personal, u will need to get pass the never ending scooters and cars coming in from ten different directions.

Just a picture from a distance is good enough
